Smart Comic Reader

Amazing app that looks very promising but adding more functionality like a reader setting would be more beneficial.

Tried a lot of readers prior to this and generally happy. But this reader’s innovative panel finding is next level. Great App, Great work and developer is a nice guy when you contact him. 5*s all the way.

I’ve used a few apps for comics and they have either been abandoned by their creator or don’t work on Mac and iPad/iphone. This app is brilliant, works across all my devices and the iCloud integration is exactly what I was looking for. Well done to the developer for making something that just works. They also charge a very fare price and non of this subscription rubbish that everyone and their uncle seem to force on people. Thank you to the developer, all I wanted to do was read comics and not be taken for a ride.

Really is an incredible app and works really well, 90% of the time, with any comic - not just comics designed for auto panel readers. The times it doesn't work is typically due to a complex, none-linear layout where the page is not using rectangles or has a non-obvious order to read the panels. For those times it doesn't work, it's easy enough to manually zoom into the cell and then just double click the next cell for it to continue with automatic pan and zoom. Much better than other similar apps I've tried for this. What would be nice is if it had text-to-speech options - espeically as speech is getting very realistic on digital devices now. Or integrate with something like speechify, and sell it as an additional addon. A built in dictionary option might be nice, if you hold down on a word. Kindle has similar capabilities.

The Guided Panel Mode is great. Simple and effective and always does what I expect it to do, fitting the next panel width to the screen and letting me tap the left or right side to go back or forwards.

This app is so good that I would gladly pay for it. Dev doesn’t even provide a “buy me a coffee” button. I spent so long looking for the right comic reader app, I think I’ve tried almost all of them. But tl;dr if you’re an icloud subscriber, THIS IS THE APP YOU’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR Suggestion for the dev: add a “continue reading” widget for a one time payment.

This app is fantastic. It turns your iPhone into the best comic reader with its intelligent panel zooming. Importing from iCloud or other supported cloud sources works seamlessly. Hard to believe an app of this quality is free.

Well thought and friendly on my eyes. Would love to see all my comic books at once on the collections screen.
