I don’t know why they had to ruin a market-leading brand with a terrible rebrand (PayMaya), and then another more terrible (Maya). They should just rebrand Maya back to SmartMoney. No one ever wants to use “Maya” in any financial conversation. “Boss, paki-Maya na lang ako.” That’s just CRINGE. And that’s how GCash beat them. It’s an own-goal.
