Broken
Despite having paid £70 for the pro version with cloud backups, this app has deleted receipt images, duplicated others. As I no longer have the physical receipts I can no longer claim these expenses back, so am out of pocket by around £300. The old version of the app was reliable, but version 5 is not. Their support team were initially helpful, but after I pointed out that I already had the correct configuration suggested by them, then pointed out the extent and seriousness of the issues, all I got back was a generic “thanks for the feedback” email. UPDATE: I got Apple to refund my £70.
Glitches
Several glitches have developed since you produced the last big update. The old version was much better. I now have to triple check figures as the generated report does not reflect the inputs I have made. Please sort!!
Waste of time.
Everytime I try and add anything to the app it just crashes.
It’s got a bug.
Version 5.0.7 When I upload a photo of a receipt, it takes that photo and replaces all the previous receipt photos with the new one. It’s absolutely infuriating. I note that on 18 October someone else reported the same and you said you had fixed it in the update for 5.0.2, but I have the most up to date version and it’s still doing it.
Such a good app
Been using this for several years now and it’s so easy to log receipts and run reports off at the end of the month. On two occasions I’ve asked for help in finding something and there support always comes back with the answer or solution. Couldn’t ask for better support 👍🏻
Complete failure
I have been using this app for many years and even pay for a subscription. The app was ok but then the latest update came. I have lost all my data and no longer have any faith in you to maintain this product. At this stage I am having to reset everything, I did this last night on a Mac, recreating all payment methods and payment categories, but even that doesn’t sync between devices. I’m loosing hope.
Terrible and can't access support
I paid for the subscription so I could use the scanning feature. It scans two receipts then tells me I have run out and makes me sign in again. I tried to contact support but when trying to log in here it tells me I don't have permission to access the portal. Just wasted a couple of hours trying tk get this to work. With no prospect for help when it doesn't work I would avoid this app like the plague if I were you
PDF Images
Smart Receipts is a great tool for keeping track of receipts. The one thing that would make it even better is was a way to reduce the image sizes or save images as PDF’s - when adding lots of images to a report the file size becomes extremely large in excess of 30MB at times and this won’t send by normal email route!!
Scan receipts
Very good apps, but only display two receipts per page is a bit waste of paper when needs to submit in hard copy. Should have option to display more receipts on one page.
