Devices compatible with the app: Smarter iKettle - 3rd Generation (all colour models) Smarter Coffee - 2nd Generation Smarter FridgeCam Product features include: iKettle - 3rd Generation Wireless control: Control all the product features and functions such as remote boil, adjustable temperatures and notifications. Water level: See how much water is in the kettle and get reminders. Wake-up mode: Use this feature to boil your iKettle in the morning or during the day between your busy schedule to always have the kettle ready for the perfect cuppa. Home Mode: Have the iKettle boiling, ready for when you arrive home. Formula Mode: Formula mode boils the iKettle to 100ºC (212ºF) then cools to 70ºC (158ºF) to assist in making formula milk. Visit WHO for guidance on formula feeding. Quick Boil: One tap setting to 85ºC (185ºF), 95ºC (203ºF) and 100ºC (212ºF). Never connects to WiFi therefore useless product and makes no difference to normal kettle/coffee machine products, therefore being a waste of money. Was great when it worked, was a small period of time but never connects now so cannot be used as intended -- yorkshiretraindriver, 2025-02-25 ### *---- "Notifications don’t work" I am using an iPhone 16 Pro Max on the latest public software release (18.2 at the time of writing) and for weeks this app has not delivered boiling complete notifications for my iKettle 3rd Generation. Here is a list of troubleshooting I have tried: - Check notifications are enabled in the app - Check notifications are enabled in system settings - Delete profile and create a new one - Reset the Kettle (multiple times) - Deleted the app and redownloaded - Deleted in-app ‘network’ and recreated Nothing I’ve tried has changed the fact that no notifications are being delivered. Bare in mind that this coffee machine is not a crème de la crème. It’s a good concept however it lacks support from Smarter and updates. I’ve never seen a new feature added to the app and we have been using both the Kettle and coffee machine for years now. When I’ve asked a question I’ve never had it answered. There is a lot of FAQs but it won’t cover all the questions you get for example “how to recalibrate the water lever in the coffee machine”. The app does work and so does asking Google or Siri. The keep warm feature is amazing and being able to open the app and turn the kettle on whilst brushing your teeth saves a lot of time. This is a great product for people who want to save time and or like their technology. The alarm setting never really worked for me, it would be nicer if it linked to your actual alarm and worked. The welcome home feature is cool but would be better if it could be optionally automated so when you get home the kettle turns on. You won’t be dissatisfied/disappointed with these products. Just remember it’s a lot of tech to go wrong and it often does, the kettle must be kept descaled too. I’ve followed all the instructions including splitting my WiFi to ensure it’s on a 2.4Ghz connection and setting the channel to 11 or less. I’ve tried reconnecting the kettle multiple times including right on top of the router. The light on the bottom is not flashing so it’s connected. But app thinks the kettle is not on the base. I tried raising a ticket via the app but its immediately been deleted with no response.
