SmartHub FAQ
Is SmartHub free?
Yes, SmartHub is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is SmartHub legit?
⚠️ The SmartHub app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Slow, lots of spinning circles to load pages, screen times out several times while loading the usage pages.
Logs out several times and must reenter password.
Asks to go to paperless billing every time I open the app, let me check that box and not see that again!
It’s just silly how antiquated this app is in 2025
It was a good app
Haven’t been able to use it for months. Crashes immediately upon opening.
Perfect for what I need
This app is awesome, lets me monitor my usage across several houses that I own, and the data is updated daily. Intuitive to use, everything that I need, not sure why the low ratings from everyone else? This app gets the job done. Other utility providers don’t provide this functionality – National Grid, and Nstar
Payment Methods Save but don’t show up on payment screen
My card is saved to my account and shows up under saved payment methods, but on the payment screen it doesn’t show up. All I see is “add new payment”. I have to re-add my card every time I make a payment.
App
I already have smart hub for my internet through Plainfield so how do I use same app for different company
Cannot see usage data
Has been working up until a week or so ago. It freezes up in the usage page and won’t let you view data. When it was working, the wheel would spin forever until data populated. Also, there’s fewer features than on the web page. I want to see actual kWh for each day, time of use. It’s how I gauge if my energy use is smart.
Search feature is horrible
Type your zip code or address and you still have to scroll through 100s of companies…I never found mine. Why have a search option if you still have to scroll thru all companies in different states?
Unusable
This latest version is so buggy it’s unusable. I enjoyed the app up until this point. I will update this after issues are resolved.
Nothing
Nothing
I was using it . Now it does not work
I love using it but for some reason now when I click on app it flashes login and go’s away .
There is really no one to call. But I had to run to pay bills.
