Worth paying for" The mobile app is decent and lets me do basic tasks. The 5 star is for the product as a whole. It’s much better on desktop and overall I love it. I’m leaving Knack and Airtable. I’ve already tried Monday, Asana and countless others. While there are some issues overall it’s a home run. On paper, smart suite was an exciting alternative that offered more for less. But on mobile devices, my primary use case, it’s been too unreliable. I was willing to put up with forms jumping across the screen and losing my inputs right before I saved them, but now after being locked out and completely unable to access my documents, I’m convinced I simply cannot rely on the service. Today, I was logged out on all devices for some reason. Signing in with my Apple ID was simple enough on my phone, but even after restarting both the app and my iPad, I was told on every attempt that my credentials were incorrect - though, again, being identical to those I used successfully on another device. -- uberunix, 2024-03-27 ### *---- "Keeps crashing." For example, in Monday if I want to change a status, date, or almost any cell in any column, I simply select the item I need to change and a custom modal appears. I change the status, the modal closes, and I’m done. The interaction is super quick. In contrast, when I want to change a status in SmartSuite, I need to open the entire record, scroll to the status field, select the status, change it, and then finally save the record. If I presented this workflow to my guys in the field, who typically need brief and quick interactions with a management tool, I’d have a mutiny on my hands. Also, and this one is purely subjective, the way SmartSuite displays tables, with the title remaining stationary while other fields scroll horizontally, creates a parallax effect that makes me cross eyed. -- JoesNikon, 2023-02-10 ### ***-- "Has potential, but buggy for me" So far I like the app, but it’s too buggy for me to get to the point where I migrate to it completely. Specifically, I’ve run into two problems so far. 1. I’m ok not being able to configure forms on mobile, but I would like to be able to at least fill it out, or have easy access to the shared link so I can fill it out in a browser. 2. When I modify records from “My Work”, the changes aren’t reflected immediately, and not even shortly after. Even I go directly to the solution and the app, I still don’t see my changes. After several minutes I have to completely kill the app and restart it to see my changes. For me this is a show-stopper, can’t move forward and get in deeper with this product until the mobile app is more solid. -- DonaldM, 2023-01-11 ### *---- "Would be nice if it could actually get started" Sadly, have tried a few times to actually login and/or create a workspace and then login. Once the screen comes up where you choose the different areas of focus (project management, professional services), whether you select 1 or more than 1, you hit continue, it spins for a minute, then back to the same page. Go use upper left back button to prior login screen, click continue, and it all fails. After 3 tries to get this working (and I have to admit I’m very technical so this fundamental first step to register and use it should not be this hard/impossible), I gave up. IpadPro M1 2021. 16.2 ipados and latest version of this software app as of december 2022. Maybe you will have better luck than i setting this up. As a long time Airtable fan this app solves a lot of the feature sets that I have been looking to have. It’s approach to how it links records and how it displays those records are done only in a way SmartSuite can deliver. I have been working with their team onboarding and they have gone above and beyond in my two week trial. So a kind and friendly bunch of folks. I also see them delivering on an aggressive feature set request list, driven by its users, all while keeping the platform stable. I have noticed that all of the data functions super snappy. That’s a great app that is a continuation of a Web app. Started a trial to see whether it has some benefits in comparison to others like Notion or Wrike. And I have to say that it’s awesome. What started as a personal account became a great tool for the entire department of mine. The mobile app that I use on my iPhone and iPad has less features than web but it’s growing adding new features constantly.
