SmartThings Reviews

Oh well

John hepburn on

Japan

I’ve been using smartthings app for quite a while. it’s going through a lot of changes that are not very user-friendly. I understand software and hardware companies are difficult to maintain. So in this latest release, I can’t even login to my SmartThings account. I can do it on the web, but I can’t do it on the app. I’m sure this is just a temporary thing but as a UX/UI designer that works with large tech companies alongside developers. This is incredibly bad. It is my hope that Samsung gets their act together and doesn’t really is broken products.

Crashes

mvjwqh on

I hate this app. It’s so much worse than the Family Hub app. All this app does is open for a second, than immediately crash. Can’t even be used. Samsung’s new tagline should be, “Samsung: Downgraded Apps For All.”

Works great

This washing machine is a life-changer. It's so convenient, and the app makes it even better.

Works perfectly now

After fixing my Yale lock issue all works well. One suggestion, it needs unlock and lock button all the time. If a lock reads as unlocked when locked, you cannot unlock it. Unlike the old app that let you unlock or lock anytime.

It could be better

Tvs should have there own microphones and act as a smart speaker instead of using another smart speaker or pushing a microphone button on a remote.

It doesn't even work

Yarrmander on

Japan

You can't make an account because any passwords you enter will never match according to the app. It also gives you the option to sign in with Google, then tells you that option isn't supported for security reasons.

아이폰과 연결이 너무너무 안됩니다

saruponchi on

Japan

Art mode stinks

Polish princess 15 on

United States

Terribly frustrating. The app in art mode keeps telling me to connect to the same network as the tv however I can use every other feature (including the remote option) so it’s clearly paired and on the same network. It’s beyond frustrating to pay for a product that you can’t use.

Absolutely worthless

hiodshih on

United States

Unable to add any of my brand new appliances. No useful support or troubleshooting. Just “restart router” like that will do anything at all. Yes I have 2.4GHz and WPA2. Uninstalling this waste of time

Millennials

Jesseleeg on

United States

Dear fellow millennials, I as a computer engineer told you my fellow millennials that AI and cloud servers were a bad idea. Because of the security flaws in cloud based servers, we have two step factors to log into everything now. Break your Samsung phone and buy an apple, you gotta start a brand new Facebook and you can’t use this useless app. If you gave this app five stars, it should have been you who were aborted or killed in a mass shooting. Your life decreases the value of this planet.
