Seriously, what’s going on? Is there even anyone out there in Samsung Cooperation? Hearing these cries of customers!?
One of the worst implementations of an IoT ecosystem ever, and it is getting worse
Total inconsistency between the SmartThings app, Samsung cloud and the tv device, tv is on a network with an account phone is on the same network yet the app interrogates the tv and refuses to accept the tv is on the network that the tv says it is no support for the app, utter rubbish Samsung clearly don’t have the capability to test their wide area and cloud systems yet they lock you into an eco system that fails time and time again, the result is you are prevented from using many of the features that presumably would be quite nice to have like using the phone as a remote, there are probably more yet after 30 years in IT I can not go through the pain of waiting for Samsung to get their act together there have been three upgrades to the app and tv since I started trying to get this darn app to connect to the tv and it doesn’t it took 4 months to renew an annual subscription to frame pictures and, and, and…. If you have not yet messed up and bought a Samsung device don’t I wont recommend a better option but I can tell you if you use smart things with a Samsung frame tv Your in for a pile of frustration!

Unfathomably nonfunctional
Apple can find my Samsung TV, Google can find my Samsung TV, but this Samsung app cannot find my Samsung TV.
To sound bar
What a waste of time and money, wish I had not purchased Samsung sound bar, stops working states not connected to cloud, £200 wasted. Smart Things app useless.
Fails to do anything
Doesn’t work, doesn’t load, doesn’t connect, what can it do?
one of the worst apps I’ve had to deal with
I have a Frame tv - great hardware, but almost unusable as a smart tv with this app - using it is such a frustrating experience. When it works - i.e. when it deigns to acknowledge that the tv and the iPhone are on the same network, which is only about half the time - it usually doesn’t allow access to Art mode, and when it does it only allows a browse option, with no access to view or upload personal photos or images. The remote functions frequently lock, and it often fails to access the tv altogether if the tv is sleeping or displaying art. Just terrible.
Doesn’t hold the connection
Needs resetting everytime I use it.

So glitchy. Downloaded app and uploaded one photo to the TV, then it’s just a permanent wheel of doom, nothing is then clickable in the app. Shame as the option to use photos in Ambient mode is so beautiful. Why is the app so bad?
