The app is very useful in that you can control the current fridge and freezer temperatures when you’re away from home.
So Convenient
It took me a year and a half to even think about having my Samsung TV on my phone & it has changed my life. It’s made my life 10 times easier because I am always losing my remote!!!
Disconnects from TV
If you don’t use this often enough it disconnects from the TV and it’s very difficult to connect again. Have to delete the TV and then run a new install. Takes ages. Very poor from Samsung.
Update is awful
And I thought the app was slow before. It’s now unusable. Something simple like turning a speaker on is now a five minute job while the app things about it. Not my network either. It was fine before the update. Now, useless.
Bloated
There’s a lot of stuff on this app that I don’t want or need. But it works well for my washing machine
Don’t take away features
Please don’t take away features. After the latest update I don’t have my custom, preset washing cycle. I have to set it up every time I start a cycle. I bought a smart washing machine so it will remember to my favourite settings. But it can’t even do that anymore. But don’t worry they added an AI thing in it that will learn your behaviour. I have never asked for that but I would not mind this new feature if you just kept all the basic existing features in the app. Now I have a dumm washing machine but at least I payed much more for it. This is so frustrating.
Don’t waste your time
Nightmare app to use, lots of problems one being I can’t connect to a device that’s previously been used by another phone so now I have a new phone it won’t allow me to connect to tvs etc as it says it’s not owned by me and I have to get an invite …. From myself! Confused as I’m logging back into my own account. I deleted it previously as it stopped connecting to my devices and thought I’d give it another go, but won’t bother again
Terrible update
Update has removed all functionality for washing machine. App now pointless.
Useless
The app often reports the TV is offline when it is turned on. When this happens Samsung suggest deleting and re-adding the device, however since the most recent update when I tried this I got a new error. The app now reports that the device is registered top another user (ie me) and I need to contact myself to ask for an invite to control the TV. As Smart Things go this is hugely stupid!
