The Reviews are not." Smarty is not a 2.7 star app, the reviews do not give smarty any justice. I've been using them for around a year now and i am very happy with my experience with the app and my experience as a Smarty customer. They offer some of the most affordable plans out there and is honestly a hidden gem of a mobile provider that helps me save money every month. Their data always works for when i need it and i know that they will always have my back. They may not offer the most powerful data but but they offer honest and simple data at a price which you really just can't beat. Don't let the negative reviews fool you. Onto the app: Core management of those contracts via the app is fairly straightforward but there is definitely scope for improvement: - Keep me logged in, or use face ID. Having to log in all the time via email/text is painful. - Allow existing sim activation without ordering a new one. - Allow me to change which sim is the group owner. My main SIM is in a 4g router which cannot easily receive texts for auth. Even with unlimited data the connection was terrible and every 10-15 minutes it pretty much stops working. The most frustrating part is that the app was amazing when i was using about 17G out of my 40G plan every month, but as soon as i started using 25+ it started slowing down on me. Likewise it does not do carry over so every month it restarts despite you having excess and i found that other some other companies don’t do this. Moreover you cant change plans even though u have run out of internet, all you can do is top up until the plan timeline has ended for that month. Therefore expect paying your monthly internet bill (and some more) for less internet. In summary the app is predatory and when time gets tough (aka increasing data use during exam season or whatever it may be) trust that Smarty is not a reliable internet source! -- Serphanie, 2026-06-26 ### ***** "Great Service" I’ve been using smarty mobile for a few months, their service is amazing. After six hours they still hadn’t agreed (it was only £8!) so I have resorted to opening a case with PayPal.
