I love the app but some things have to be fixed for a five star review. The music being played is not looping properly which pulls you out of the session every time it goes from the end to the beginning. The music should in my opinion continue after the exercise to encourage the user to take their time before getting up.
Haven’t used it in some years, but if it improved I imagine it could only become even better. Recommended 5/5
PROS: Does not track you nearly as much as other meditation apps. Very clean interface with easy to navigate UI. Comfortable recordings that guide you through various meditations. No nagging 'rate us' or 'buy this' ads. Tracking your mindset both before and after meditations is quite a nice touch. App is 100% free but I highly recommend donating anyways (I did). CONS: No health tracking. VERDICT: I tried 8+ different mediation apps before settling on this one, and it wasn't just because it was free (I have donated). There are more full-featured meditation apps out there but their cost is very high (10+usd/month) and that’s on top of tracking your purchasing/surfing habits. As a result the usage of them can feel stressful. I highly recommend trying out Smiling Mind first if you don’t desire meditation minute tracking within the Health Kit.
-always have to answer questions every time start the app is very annoying, one shall be able to skip the question part - The sudden unsmoothly restarted background music always shock me in the middle of the meditation. - very slow to connect the server or start the app from time to time + the meditation program are good.
It has something for everyone. Easy to use. There are also short meditations if you are short of time. If you have sleeping problems try the 21 days program instead of sleeping pills. Just waiting for more languages..
Best meditation app ever. Gonna tell all my friends about it 🧘🏽♂️🙏🏽🙏🏽
Best mindfulness app. The australian voice is so relaxing.
I can’t get over how bad the last major update was. It’s mostly stopped me using the app. It used to be so simple and beautiful. Now it’s ugly and feels overwhelmingly cluttered, even though it’s mostly the same content. The font is also terrible for readability. How his made it out of usability testing I will never know. I used to love recommending this app to people but I can’t do that any more. I tried showing it to someone yesterday and they just got angry at it for its clunky sign up any why it bizarrely asks your date of birth, which feels pretty invasive (why not just age if they need the data?) Please go back to something good like the old design. It was a joy to use. This version on the other hand is a hassle to use.
I have used this for a while now on the nights i have trouble sleeping. I have only just realised they have kids sleep meditations and it is so amazing for all 3 of my kids but especially for my 10 year old who has a busy brain. It calms him so much. I wish there were more of the longer meditations for kids!
