Description

Snappier IPTV is an application available on Apple TV (4K models preferred), iPad, and iPhone. It does not provide any content, so you must have your own provider. The free version of the app will display a watermark after 90 seconds of video playback. The app features 3 powerful built-in media player’s. KSPlayer, VLC and MPV. KSPlayer that supports native Picture In Picture and HDR. Snappier also has quick M3U and EPG parsing in the background and foreground, with support for 3rd party EPGs such as IPTVEditor through the External EPG URL option in settings.
Snappier supports multiple playlists and the ability to update all playlists or EPG at once. You can sync your data (except playlist data and epg data) across all your devices using Snappier IPTV via iCloud Support.
Snappier allows live TV, VOD Movie & TV Series streaming (depending on your provider) in SD, HD, and 4K along with TV Catchup (depending on your provider). You can also use internal subtitle support, select internal audio tracks, and auto save position when exiting playback of movie/tv series episode, with auto resume when restarting that item. Video de-interlace options in the KSPlayer media player, with the option to change the video aspect ratio and buffer (KSPlayer and VLC media player), skip forward/backward (MPV on iOS doesn’t have this support yet), and adjust audio delay (KSPlayer and VLC media player).
Snappier IPTV also includes a multi-screen view (1x1, 2x1 and 2x2 format at the moment), an alternative list view for Live TV, EPG support (depending on your provider), and the ability to sort by date added, name, or original order for Live TV Channels, Movies, and TV Series. You can also sort into any order you want as well as create custom categories to group your preferred items together. Other features include favourites, parental controls, search channels, TV series, movies, EPG and actors' names, and play a one off network stream URL.
Snappier IPTV also includes metadata settings that allow you to customise the information displayed for your movies and TV series. With the metadata settings, you can change the plot information for movies and TV series to different languages.
Additionally, the app includes several other features, such as:
Xtream Codes M3U or Xtream Codes Login option
Other M3U formats are limited
Tinyurl (and similar) support
Parental Control for Live TV categories and Movie Categories
Search All Playlists
There are many more features/options in Snappier.
Note that Snappier IPTV does not provide paid-for playlists, and not all paid-for providers support all features of the app. It is recommended to use an Xtream codes compatible provider for best results. You can use free to air M3U playlists, but some functions will be limited.
The app uses OpenSubtitles, The Movie Internet Database (TMDB), and JustWatch (via TMDB) as data sources, with KSPlayer, VLC and MPV as the video players. Apple TV HD will work but performance is not on par with the 4K versions so is not officially supported. For further information or support, please contact [email protected]

Snappier IPTV Reviews

By far the best IPTV for Mac

Paul of the North on

United States

Snappier IPTV has no competition as far as I’m concerned. It’s the “TiviMate for Apple” that I didn’t think would ever be made. In many ways it’s even better. Snappier has all the important features: Great interface with lots of images and show/movie details; favorites; resume watching; recently viewed; solid performance; PIP; the list goes on. Anyone looking to purchase should definitely take advantage of the lifetime purchase. The devs are super vigilant about squashing bugs and adding enhancements, very deserving of the support. It honestly keeps getting better and better. Install, purchase, and never look back. I haven’t tried the Apple TV version because I had to use android tv boxes to run TiviMate. Looking forward to running this on tvOS. Enjoy, and thank you devs! Keep up the great work!

Best option but still room for improvement

Caseablee on

This app is certainly the most consistent and reliable although I still have to manually update the playlist everyday in order for the event titles to be accurate for each channel. There is a setting to auto-update every time you open the app but it seems to do nothing.

Bugs

mpruth on

United States

I found 1 major bug and 1 thing I’d like to see improved. The bug is when you’re in the tv guide and using categories. The first channel you select is also the same channel that will be selected for all subsequent channels. The improvement would be to be able to see if a channel is east or west, among other identifiers, when looking at the tv guide mode.

Works well on TV but no syncing between devices.

icloud syncing capabilities are not as described. Do not work at all despite numerous troubleshooting attempts and resets. Apple TV app works great standalone but don’t rely on this for any sort of “seamless experience” between devices.

Sound Issue

JJR3OP on

I like the app. Unfortunately, on my AppleTv the sound is so low I must double the volume setting number. Of course, then, going to another app blasts out. Any solution for this?

Love this app

Josuev21 on

The app works fantastic, only reason why I gave four stars and not five is because when adding favorites it won’t let you make your own categories. Please make it happen . Other than that , I’m very pleased with the app

Could use some improvement.

jacobsfather on

United States

The app design and quality are really nice. However, it would be great if the EPG could be added automatically instead of having to add it as an external link every time I open the app. I also tried adding my username and password for subtitles from opensubtitles.com, but unfortunately, it didn't work. I've tested the app with 4 different IPTV providers, both with small and big playlists, but it keeps getting stuck. Just to clarify, I'm using the latest version of Apple TV 4K 128GB and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and my internet connection is perfect, so it doesn't seem to be a device or internet issue.

Phenomenal

Well worth the little money it cost. The app is smooth responsive. Can get rid of categories that you do not want . Truly awesome. I must have

Lovely app for iPad but too slow on Apple TV

The app is laid out well and is a pleasure to use on the iPad. However the Apple TV app is very laggy in navigation. (Locks for a few seconds often)
