Great app so far I love the fact that I can switch between Mac and iPad and iPhone! Which is very useful. This is exactly what I was looking for. My only thought is if there was any way to do a look up to fill-in information like contact details, that would be really cool. That’s how I use some advanced shortcuts that I have but this is easier as I don’t think Shortcuts is as good on a Mac then it is on an iPhone.
I downloaded this recently, paid the $20 and played around with it for a bit. I recall the "keyword" working well with the ipad and iphone keyboard. Today (6/17/23) I can't seem to get that feature to work on either device. I could be wrong, and that is a Mac only feature. Unfortunately the developers website is extremely basic and doesn't even contain a basic user guide for any version of the app. Videos on YT channel only show the mac version. Maybe it needs an update? Maybe consider saving your money. I like the UI and concept of this app, but most of the features and functionality can be created in the Shortcuts app for free.
It’s a cost effective text insertion app that works across Mac and iPhone. I just need it for some basics (automatic date insertion mostly), but it looks like it’s got a decent bit of power under the hood too. Highly recommended.
Since it has iPad app, too, it may be the best one I am looking for.
I love SnippetsLab, unfortunately they lack a mobile app. And as a developer, I do a lot of reading on my phone about dev topics and techniques. Often I’ll see a code snippet and oops, I have to paste it to a note and xfer it over SnippetsLab. No more of that for me! I am also a big fan of TextExpander so this is a keeper for sure!
Snippety is truly one of those Apps that I can't live without. I use it every day.

Initially, I was super annoyed with the app (well any app that does it) for bugging me to write a review... I like to spend some time using an app, on my own time, to see how it fits into my workflow, before I leave a review.. Well I spent some time, so I'm updating the review.. The app has become one of the must have tools in my daily workflow. I don't really use it how most folks would, but it is still super helpful. I use it alot for keeping templates in for when I'm entering data into company Bug Tracker (JIRA.) It helps to keep each entry tidy and following the same outline so its easy to find the information I need. I spent a while looking for an app, that would not only do text expanding, but also let me input custom text as needed because the expanded text is not always the same. Especially when your filling out bug tickets. I could accomplish this in Alfred as well, but I wanted an stand-alone app, to keep my work related expansions seperate, and to make it a bit easier to set new ones up, as Alfred can be a bit time consuming sometimes. As for the developer, he actually takes suggestions on what might help inprove the overall experience with the app. Two of mine made it into this last release, and they are a big help in speeding up my workflow.
The best app for code snippets. Hands down.
