Claimed it had very detailed weather, it’s just the basics. And you have the pay $5.99 a year for the customisation. And it doesn’t include last seven days. Like if I am feeling hot, I want to know what the weather was like today to figure out whether the apartment got heated up etc…

Also the interface is ugly. Very little customisation, just lists what options you want to show. I liked that I could set humidity as a top option next to temperature. But that’s all I liked. So I wasted a heap of money o. This.

…But absolutely needs lockscreen widgets. I currently have the stock apple small circular widget showing the low/high for the day, as well as the current temperature. However the current temperature is different to Snowflake, and really jarring seeing 19c on the lockscreen and 18 on the homescreen. Subscribed for a year, but not sure I’ll last that long if it’s not included in an update.

I’ve tried a few weather apps over the years and hands down this is the best all round for Australian weather with a great ui. The only downside is that It may not get as many updates as some other apps eg. carrot. But it is a solid build.

### ***** "Informative weather app"
Really enjoying this app. Very reasonably priced and has most of the info you could need. My only suggestions would be to have the radar automatically play when you go the maps tab, show wind gusts speed in the current details tab, and speed up the Watch app. Takes quite some time to load (but I am still using an old Series 3). All in all a fantastic weather app and a joy to use.

The phone app is attractive and provides pretty good functionality. Unfortunately it’s let down by a substandard watch complication. I left the app about a year ago for Carrot Weather because the Snowflake complication was regularly out of date or showed no data. Now there’s a new  release that claims to make the complication better, but it still shows no data regularly so I won’t be sticking with it

A great weather app that provides fast access to just the data I need, and in an easily understood format. The app appears to be polished, very mature and free of issues. One inconsistency does stand out. The wind direction arrows at the top of the daily forecast details page point in the direction that the wind is blowing to. However, the wind direction arrows on the wind speed graph at the bottom of the same page point in the direction that the wind is coming from.

The rain, snow radars etc is only available via subscription on the plus version (which is noted in the fine print on the pic) but shown as a part of the offering on the regular version. These kind of games leave me feeling tricked. With this version you get a reinterpretation of the BOM site if you’re in Australia for your $1.49. Poorly played played Bjango :(

Update: This is obviously a dead abandoned app. N o substantial updates for a year - when it was released.  Shame on Bjango. Don’t waste your time here. Go get Windy or Carrot Weather instead.  Windy free beats the paid version of this hands down. 

Feeling buyer’s remorse with this app purchase. Bought the app based on my previous good experiences with Bjango products. While it delivers the basic weather info well, I don’t like the radar button being front and centre when it’s only purpose is to remind you are not a ‘Plus’ subscriber. Better it is hidden than act as a way to annoy and beg for the subscription. I love Bjango’s iStat Menus and it’s great weather info delivery but I don’t love this app. My old (free) iOS weather app provides BOM radar and other maps but with this app I have to pay $8+$6=$14 upfront for the same info and then $6 per year ongoing. Better value elsewhere.

With the demise of Pocket Weather thank goodness there is a decent weather app that uses Australian data (BOM). 

The iPhone & iPad apps are great (if a bit busy compared to other Apps) the Watch app though 😭…it would be great, if it was reliable. 

The complications update intermittently and the App crashes +60% of the time. When it does open it takes 30 seconds or more to display current data. This happens on S2, S3 & S4 watches. 

Please, address these issues, this App has everything an Australian user could want if not for these reliability issues.

### ****- "A great entrant to the weather category"
I’ve been using this app since the start of this year. It’s been a really good interface, although a little bit of getting used to. Just a few are missing from the BOM data to make it really great.

1. Icon badge temperature: it’d be really useful to see a preferred temperature measurement on the app icon without having to open it.

2. Synoptic charts: for those of us who want to see the synoptic charts, an option in the radar tab would be great to see, especially if we can view the previous few.

3. Predicted wind direction: looking at the forecasts, it’s possible to see how fast the wind will be over time, but the direction should be present too. The forecast text doesn’t always specify the wind direction.
