## SocialLite Description
SocialLite is a free app that blocks shorts from Instagram, shorts from YouTube and other short form content from other platforms. It is the app for people who want to use social media without losing hours to endless scrolling.

We don't block social media entirely - that's not realistic. Instead, SocialLite surgically removes the most addictive features while keeping the parts you actually need.

WHAT GETS BLOCKED

- Short-form video feeds designed to keep you scrolling
- Algorithmic recommendations and suggested content
- Explore and discovery pages
- Live streams and shopping tabs
- Ads and sponsored posts

WHAT YOU KEEP

- Direct messages and conversations
- Profiles you intentionally visit
- Content friends send you directly
- The ability to post and share

HOW IT WORKS

SocialLite provides a focused browsing experience for popular social platforms. Check your DMs without getting pulled into endless video feeds. Browse messages without algorithmic content hijacking your attention.

When you tap on a video someone sent you, you can watch that specific video - but you can't scroll to the next one. This simple guardrail is the difference between a 30-second check-in and a 30-minute spiral.

PRIVACY FIRST

SocialLite doesn't track anything related to your social media, we store your info on your device meaning it never touches our server so there is no possible account risk on our end. Additionally we do not sell any data, the only data we use is opt in, and its purely to see which ads you saw to use SocialLite, this helps us on our mission to bring this to as many people as possible. Privacy and Security is our priority and we are happy to answer any questions via dms, or email.

 Your attention is yours.

Take back your time. Download SocialLite today.

## SocialLite Reviews in Sweden

### ***-- "Good idea but has some issues"
While the idea is great it still has issues such as no notifications from Snapchat or any of the apps from my experience and sometimes it is laggy on YouTube for example. And overall the gui for the apps is meh it is like in the webbrowser which aren’t that great. It would be best if the gui would look like the apps or just somehow make it more clean as if it was the same but keeping the concepts of no doomscrolling.
-- ICE_SMASHER, 2026-08-09

### ***** "Has reduced my screen time"
This has actually worked to reduce my screen time so far. I’m happy with it.
-- MPH , 2026-08-08

### ***** "Instagram"
Grabbing instagram addiction from the 🙈
-- Khatcharm, 2026-07-28

### *---- "Does not work"
Payed for the package to be able to block out reels, this function does not work though. Neighter in the socialite app or instagram. Waste of 5$
-- Fabian Larsson, 2026-03-26

### ***** "Simple & Effective"
This app works way better than I expected!

I am loving this version of youtube way more than the original. The recommendations are much better, no shorts and the ads are fewer!

Same goes for Instagram. It’s a little slower, but get’s the job done if you just want to catch up, post something or watch a reel someone sent you.

And all this for free? It really makes you want to support it.

These developers deserve everything. Big ups to the devs! <3
-- biccyreviews, 2026-03-24

### **--- "Constantly being logged out of sociallite"
Good idea though
