This app has saved me so many hours and actually allowed me to keep social media deleted! Incredible app that helps to stay connected when you need it but doesn’t get you doom scrolling for hours. 
Also, I’ve seen some people complain about Instagram being not as smooth as the actual app, but I think that’s exactly what makes it less addictive and easier to put down rather than scrolling for hours!

As a person that uses 3 accounts and constantly need to switch, this app makes it hard to manage. I need to see the messages coming in as some are personal and some are for work so i cant really use until that is supported. Good apart from that.

### ***** "REALLY GOOD does exactly what it needs to"
This is being developed by some 20 yo college students and has only recently released so to throw a bunch of criticism at it and all the expectations we’ve come to expect from multi billion dollar corporations would be silly. It works really well for just using the app (instagram for example) as a messaging service. Haven’t tried out other apps since insta is my main reason to use this to disable reels but it does dat job perfectly well. Unfortunately it does open the web version and that means some things will be slower to load and you can’t interact with stickers on people’s stories and things but if anything this makes me use the app less which is the end goal. It’s not gonna be perfect immediately like everything so cool it on the critiquing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU WANT HOURS OF YOUR LIFE BACK. WAKE UP PEOPLE.

Very rarely do I write reviews on apps, but I almost feel obliged with this as it really helps you take back control of your time and stop being susceptible to the algorithm’s that keep you endlessly scrolling into the abyss.

Only criticism I would have is that it does feel (expectedly) more clunky than having the original apps so I hope a workaround is possible and figured out.

Truly hats off to the founders, developers and team behind this. Great app, great work and great vision.

this is by far the best and most elegant solution i’ve found, for instagram at the very least. it’s very very simple in it’s execution, but little things like still being able to open reels you’ve been sent shows that it understands why so many people struggle with getting rid of instagram or tiktok or whatever in totality. the home feed removes reels and is generally clunky on purpose which makes it a lot easier to remind yourself to stop scrolling. i would really prefer if removing the home feed was in the free tier but this is the only thing in the whole app that is probably actually annoying to have to pay for. greyscale is also a free way to make the home feed unappealing to scroll for extended periods of time which is fair. 

i think part of the beauty of the app is that any criticism would boil down to a sort of general clunkiness that comes with it being a modified web app , but the clunkiness is perfect because it makes using the app your trying to block genuinely harder to get sucked into if your doing anything other than texting.

i have no idea how this hasn’t been done before but well done guys! maybe a reddit dms/notifications only mode in the future?

Really love the idea of blocking the distracting parts of social media apps, but this literally just opens the web version of whatever app you open in your browser, and the UI of the web version on Snapchat for instance doesn’t really work properly on your phone. So if every app worked with the blocks and actually opened a similar version to each iOS app, this would 100% be 5*, but until then won’t be using this app.

It does seem like a good app however with instagram for example still having that home feed can lead to you doomscrolling. To turn that off though you need to pay a monthly subscription. I don’t mind paying for good quality apps but I would much rather a one time payment. It feels a bit predatory because clearly the developers know that phone addiction is a real thing but they make you have to pay a monthly fee for actual features that would make someone want to use the app and the features that would help someone curb their phone addiction.
I’m not saying that premium features should be free but they definitely shouldn’t be a subscription

The Snapchat one (only one I needed) just opens the web app. I guess it functions alright but the design is nothing like the actual app and much harder to use. Just feels pointless

I’m just going to start with my summary, the app is so simple but makes such a great difference.

I’ve been waiting for this app to release, and it’s finally here, and surpassing my expectations!

After testing it throughout the day, the UI seems really smooth, accessible and quite well polished (especially for a new app). It is very easy to use and does what it says to do. It is extremely well thought out so is intuitive to use. 

The app is useful for all kinds of people since it helps break the habit of doomscrolling slowly, by phasing out the addictive side of social media whilst not completely removing it and giving you control, which (as a student) I find really helpful.

Even once I found a bug, I let the team know and it was resolved very promptly (within a few hours). I really commend Mason, Malek and the team on their great efforts as it is a 10/10 from me. 

I’m excited to see where this app goes over the coming years.
