## SoCo Connect Description
SoCo Connect is a convenient way to report non-emergency community concerns and access County services.

Here's how it works:

1. See something that needs to be fixed (potholes, street light problems, plugged culverts, etc.)?
2. Submit a request and attach a photo.
3. County staff receives the request and fixes the problem.
4. You are notified when the request is completed.

You can monitor requests, provide comments, follow other requests in your community and check out the latest County news and events. Local government functions at its best when everyone participates. Download the app to get started today!

Initial responses are fast but they advise they must prioritize requests and sometimes it may take a while to act due to staffing limitations.  It has proven to be a good resource for my area.

First off, it’s a great idea. I’ve used it three times &  one time it worked great, one time it didn’t work-ignored, and one time the county doesn't understand and is not responding with incorrect information. Unfortunately, the county is understaffed & can be unhelpful keeping the road’s safe.

The ability to tell county staff of problems is a good idea. The new app however stalls with a red X for where is the request and tell us more details . Getting a dead deer when it’s fresh seems better than after being picked over for many days, if at all

iPhone 15 won’t work with this app. You can’t upload pictures saved on your phone at the trouble spot.  This app is pretty useless without that feature.   I hope they fix it since the app is useful when it works.

The app has not worked in awhile. Crashes on start up. I deleted it and reinstalled, still crashes. Too bad - it’s a handy app idea and when it worked it was great. Hopefully developer sees this and updates the app!

Good:  Great app to report code violations, health/safety hazards, submit homeless outreach requests, report roadway issues like potholes, vegetation overgrowth, hazardous trees, plugged culvert, guardrail damage, or slides.  Report issues with streetlights, signs, traffic signals and sign visibility, or litter.  Had good experience (except for readability issues) creating a pothole report.
Also has road construction and closure info, local and county government contacts, and links to a wide variety of county info like airport, transportation, parks, animal services, etc.
Middle: Need to create an account in order to make a report.  Viewing requests nearby always brings up a map centered on downtown Guerneville instead of your current location.
Bad: My pet peeve - the font size and color in the report section (and many other areas) is very small thin light gray font against a white background.  VERY hard to read when outdoors in bright sunlight.  App does not honor Accessability settings for larger or bold text.
