Sonoma County’s Department of Health is asking Sonoma County residents to self-assess symptoms associated with COVID-19 each day in a survey that takes less than one minute. This is part of the County’s approach to protecting residents in the workplace and our community. Your participation will help us reopen the County in a responsible way as we work to revitalize our economy and mitigate risk. Because your privacy is very important to us we will not be asking for any personally identifiable information in this app. Nor does the app use location tracking or collect any information other than survey responses. This app is for the benefit of Sonoma County residents and health officials only and no information will be used or shared for any commercial purposes. The app is intended for anyone in the general public, citizens of Sonoma County determine if they may have symptoms related to COVID-19 before going to work. It is not intended to give medical advice. If you need medical advice, please contact your primary care physician or visit the CDC website at: There are two parts to the app: Resident Survey Answer a few questions about symptoms and contact you’ve had with those who might have the disease. And then get specific recommendations based on the Sonoma County Public Health guidelines, such as to practice social distancing, talk to a doctor, or return to work. News Feed Provides up-to-date local information from trusted sources about the Coronavirus disease and its impact in Sonoma County, California. I sometimes go to multiple sites on campus and having to answer health questions at each location as opposed to showing my wellness check is a no brainer. -- CSLewis72, 2020-08-07 ### ****- "Makes My Live Easier!" Every day I head into work I take the survey and get a badge that shows I’ve been assessed and I’m clear to work. When I walk in the office I show the badge with the date and time I completed the survey, they take a quick digital temp, and I head for my desk. People who don’t use the App take a lot longer to get cleared each day. This makes my life much easier and I see the relief on the faces of my co-workers who have to perform the assessments when I’ve already done this in advance. We are in this for the long run, and this App saves me time and hassle. This functionality does not currently exist—at least not in the Apple version. Managers with Android phones may have better luck. I get more data outside the app than inside it. - No tracker feedback capability? I was surprised that the only way employers are made aware of the “test” was receiving a screen shot from employees, and that no further action was required, but maybe that will be added later. Collecting data for now is fine by me. The app worked perfectly for me. Update: the app works but I don’t see “the employer portion of the app”.
