I’ve had an idea bouncing around my head for an app that would let me create to-do lists for all the shows I want to watch for quite some time now, I am so happy to have found this already exists, it’s amazing to be able to create different lists of all these shows, for example, I create a list for each of my friends, and on it I put all of the movies and shows we want to watch together, this is so much easier with a dedicated app rather than just using a to-do list, where everything gets mixed amongst all my other chores. Top stuff, keep up the good work!
Great!
A wonderful little app. It’s what I’ve been wanting for ages. Not bloated, clean and simple, easy way to keep track of what I’m watching. Thank you ☺️
I wanted to like this, but…
I added one book (with an unusual title) and that was fine. Then I went to add another book whose title is a common word (“Fall”) and it was hopeless. No means of searching by Title plus Author Name?
And in the display of books, no display of author names?
Maybe I’m missing something, but there’s no way I would pay a subscription for this.
$6 a month?
for more than the price of Apple Music month you can have a glorified notes app made purely for TV shows that doesn’t even have every show you look for.
What a useful app!
Just perfect for storing lists of what to read, watch or listen to in just about any format you can think of. Elegant in its simplicity, it replaces OneNote or Notes for this type of task: and is way better at it!
Absolutely recommended.
Better than any other solution I’ve tried
I’ve been trying all sorts of bookmarking & note apps for ages and while I was happy enough with the solution I settled on, it wasn’t quite what I wanted for tracking all the things I wanted to watch, read or listen to.
Sofa is an almost perfect fit. It’s easy to add something on the fly, I love that it automatically grabs a nice thumbnail, displays it nicely, provides more info and gives me an option to both mark it as watched & still keep it in the same list.
Only thing I’d love to add is a notes feature so I can add something like who recommended it or where I’m personally watching the show etc
So happy I read an article about this app!
Wonderful
I’ve been looking for an app as robust as this for ages! Excellent.
So far, I haven’t had a single entry where I search and it hasn’t shown up, but I’d be curious to understand plans for handling that if it occurs.
Exactly what I need
When I hear of a movie or music, grab the app and write it down. Perfect. Waiting for it to sync between iPad and phone.
death by thousand paper cuts
every day since i’ve starting using Sofa i’ve had a new problem.
- item in pinned list gets randomly duplicated into a list (that i never made) called “My List”, which causes app to crash when trying to open pinned list.
- syncing issues: i’ve had to backup and re-import two separate backups in this last week because the app will just refuse to sync specific entries
- slowdown: my iphone 13, ipad air 4th gen, and macbook pro m3 pro all had slowdown especially when editing many entries in a row, to the point where using the app felt extremely sluggish and annoying (imagine hitting the back button after editing something and having to wait five seconds before returning to it’s respective list)
visuals/ux are great. but these issues are killing the experience for me, and i’m one or two more issues away from asking for a refund.
THE 🐐’d DT TRACKER..☝🏽just one thing!
I love this idea as a possible super sofa feature, the ability to add a notification at a set time, I have an automation but having the notification to track or to remind about a specific movie or Tv show you wanted to watch at a certain time would make this app both a tracker and a program.
