i can’t log in without subscribing / registering with an authenticate app & there’s no way to close the account now I can’t use it - customer service replies in 15 minutes? well it’s been hours

Could have been better
PnL information is not available or confusing. Can't even know how much I earn or lose which is a rather basic feature.

Horrible customer service if there is any, phone line doesn’t work after numerous attempts, no email support. No support if something goes wrong with your account, basically swindled out of your money. Please in your best interest, try to fine more reputable apps!
Terrible
This was a good deal when there wasn’t any platform fee but now the company has to make money it’s a different story. Coercive nonsense and gamification abounds, and the staff won’t change my email or phone number even after months of pleading, so I am very worried that rollout of 2FA - a safety feature! - will render my account unusable and my funds inaccessible. Also you can’t trade bonds except new issuance.
Getting worse
When I first got SoFi I thought it was awesome and recommended it to many friends. But now it’s been getting much worse. Previously you had to get 80 points for a free stock. This was achieved and encouraged you to sign up friends. It’s now changed to 200 days so it’s no longer important to login daily or invite friends. What’s worse is they’ve added on a $30 monthly charge. This is on top of the margin they take on your trades and the interest they take on your margin loan. Super greedy and against what I thought SoFi would be like. Would recommend you look elsewhere

Bad customer service! I send a question for 2 weeks but still haven’t had a reply.

DownloadedThe app after seeing blogger recommend this. Disappointing the links to opening the account do not work. No one has replied to my question about this and to be perfectly honest I wouldn’t trust my money with someone who can’t even get their software right. Really sad looks like a Brilliant idea
Very inefficient process and service
There is contradictory info provided by difference service person, no visibility of market/securities info, status tracking, view of uploaded doc & pending doc etc. The main page only state the mail is sent to you, then you will start receiving email per request (yes, not consolidated one). My account is still pending to be opened (yet not clear on how to withdraw the application and get refund from the app), so I can’t rate further on trading service, but it has been very inefficient so far even during the account opening.
