## Solar Energy Forecast Description
Solar Energy Forecast helps you understand how good the day is for solar generation.

The app shows solar indicators that matter for estimating daily solar potential: solar energy, cloud cover, hourly activity, sun position, and weather risks.

What’s inside:
• daily solar energy forecast;
• day rating: good, average, or weak;
• hourly charts for GHI/DIF, DNI, UV, and cloud cover;
• sun elevation and azimuth;
• sunrise and sunset;
• comparison of actual solar resource with the potential of a clear day;
• risks for solar panels: strong wind, snow, ice, hail, thunderstorm;
• location selection by search, geolocation, or map;
• saved locations;

Important: the kWh/m² value shows solar energy received by 1 m² of horizontal surface during the day. It is not the exact output of a solar panel. Real generation depends on system power, panel area, tilt, direction, temperature, cloud cover, and losses.

The app is useful for solar panel owners, people planning to install a solar power system, and anyone who wants to understand sunny conditions in the coming days.

This is a great app if you have a solar setup at home, and predicts total power in the upcoming days very well. My suggestion would be to save the solar configuration in iCloud so that configs could be automatically shared across multiple devices held by the same iCloud account.

This is a great app that gives info on forthcoming sunshine predictions, helping me decide whether to charge battery overnight or not. The forecast does read slightly lower than what I actually get, but I get use to that and add a bit on. I do note that during the current day, the expected sunshine does change , I assume correcting the figures from the previous days. But overall a great app for solar panel and battery owners. Thank you

Having solar panels it is always good to know what kind of conditions we might expect. This app is incredibly easy to use and understand and actively reflects the weather. It helps me to plan when to make good use of the energy I have stored and when not to. 
I’ve had the app for quite some time and I use it everyday on my phone and IPad. It’s so useful I hope they develop a Mac version soon.

Early days yet but it would seem the app massively under forecasts. For example today the forecast was 18kWh and actual was 30kWh generated. That is about 80% of the best ever. All the weather apps correctly forecast a sunny day but this app rated it as a weak day for solar. So sadly the app is of no use.

I have solar and a storage battery, heat pump, solar diverter and Ev that I like to manually control. Rather than leaving it to AI, as I am personally unpredictable with my usage. I am also on the old solar fit payments so I get paid even if I use & store every last drop of solar. So this is a good way to predict what solar I am going to be able to use and save and not fill the battery up from the grid.
