Live local conditions, precision panel alignment, and a direct read on your battery — we tell you when to charge, how to align, and what your battery's actually doing, so you get the most charge out of every hour of sun. Your setup works hard so you can relax and enjoy the outdoors. NEW IN 1.8.3 — THE NUMBERS GET REAL Pair your battery's Bluetooth monitor and Solar Spotter records what your setup actually harvested and actually drew — day by day, credited to the right source, honest about what it measured. Free for everyone: the WattsUp morning briefing. Pro adds one-tap backup of your whole setup. FREE — NO ACCOUNT, NO SIGNAL NEEDED: - Read today's solar day at a glance — current irradiance, efficiency against the physical max for your spot, cloud cover, and temperature. - Set up for the hours you want to charge — intuitive solar compass with azimuth, altitude, and optimal tilt, plus highlighted bands for charging now, +3hr, and +6hr. - Plan around peak solar — full-day sun path chart from sunrise to sunset with peak hours marked. - Catch what's coming — 3-hour weather snapshot. - WattsUp morning briefing — the day's solar outlook before sunrise. - Bush Bash offline mode — works anywhere. No signal? No worries. UNLOCK PRO One price. No subscription. No monthly fees. Buy once. Yours to use forever. CHARGE SMARTER. NOT LONGER. — KNOW WHAT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING — • Energy History — what your rig actually did, day by day, and where the charge came from. • Battery Bluetooth (BETA) reads your battery's built-in monitor directly over Bluetooth. See the charge coming in and what your fridge or other gear is drawing out. Built for batteries that use a JBD or JK monitor (BMS) initially, but we are expanding our battery library. • Alternate Charging — tell the app about your DC-DC or generator and their work is credited to them, not your panels. Optional Drive Detection knows when charge comes in from a drive — and never reads your location. • Panels Packed or Out — one tap, and every number follows reality. • Daily Battery Tracker projects your sundown % and runs a sunrise check from your current charge and system draw. • Estimated Output runs your real panel + battery specs against live conditions: wattage now, recharge rate, and projected daily harvest. Updates every 15 minutes. — CHARGE IN THE RIGHT HOURS — • Best Charging Window (BCW) rolls through the day on live weather. Set a duration, pick a custom window, or let the app find the optimal one. • 3-day solar outlook — the next few days' charging at your current spot. • Hyperlocal 15-minute weather — YOUR exact spot, not a regional average. — SET UP TO THE DEGREE — • A real game changer for portable blanket and panel users. AR Alignment shows the exact direction and tilt with audio + haptic feedback to help lock it in. Re-position with confidence using the overlay for a quick visual guide, or the on-panel mode for precise alignment. Or set up once for the BCW and enjoy the day. — PLAN THE WHOLE TRIP INCLUDING SOLAR — • Trip Planner: multi-stop solar outlooks — charging conditions where you're headed, not just where you are. • Your own trip archives and campsite notes — future you will thank you. • Your Gear — save your panels, batteries, camp gear and named rigs. Different setup for a different trip? Switch rigs in one tap. • Back Up Your Setup — one tap, everything you built, yours to keep. Designed for the real world. Works in the outback, at the beach, in the mountains — anywhere you set up camp. Every calculation runs on-device. No reliance on cloud services or mobile coverage. Our Honesty — live-weather, physics-based, real-conditions-aware outputs for your exact spot, right now. Plain talk on what we can and can't tell you. Your Privacy — no ads, no tracking, no analytics, no accounts. Your spot stays yours. ## Solar Spotter Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/8c/35/7c/8c357c83-c091-c1a7-7f09-5c81bc404b74/01-solar-day.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/0a/ee/62/0aee6232-1e47-c51b-89fb-ffa947f71639/02-solar-compass.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/c6/18/c1/c618c15b-b1eb-4279-570b-7b073a3135de/03-your-gear.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/e2/4c/a7/e24ca7b9-dbe5-3ef3-bfa4-d5de4cb354ae/04-battery-live.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/19/2d/52/192d526a-7dfc-8b4d-cbd8-7ab00a75ddaa/05-energy-history.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/0c/b0/15/0cb0158f-ba3c-2d13-2804-7bbb7fccdaeb/06-ar-overlay.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/50/6d/8f/506d8f47-c6a4-89af-aed2-a8e46ba72ede/07-panel-mode.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/b5/c0/16/b5c01618-f038-cec8-07d4-a912dbdc4548/08-trip-planner.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 9](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/6c/0e/c0/6c0ec023-373c-8390-e39b-c111c501a3fc/09-bush-bash-offline.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 10](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/da/b7/3f/dab73fb1-ad7e-3616-2836-e7770ce08976/10-privacy.png/1320x2868.png) ## Solar Spotter Rating Breakdown in Australia - 5 stars: 4 (100%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## Solar Spotter In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Solar Spotter Pro | $14.99 | ## Solar Spotter Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Free | India | Weather | #233 | ## Solar Spotter Available In - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/australia) - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/united-states) - [Chile](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/chile) - [France](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/france) - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/united-kingdom) - [Croatia](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/croatia) - [Nepal](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/nepal) - [Saudi Arabia](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/saudi-arabia) - [Sweden](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/sweden) - [Singapore](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/singapore) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/solar-spotter-oHSy/canada) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
