This app is beyond helpful and helped reduce the stress of feeding and introducing new foots to my baby. Most have images and if not detailed descriptions of how to introduce each food at each stage. I was recommend this app from a paediatric dietitian. I used it often and I highly recommend it to all the new moms I know. Must download! Thank you to the creators and everyone at Solid Starts! You have no idea how much this helped us.
Used to love the free option to see how food was prepared. Now you have to pay? Not worth it. Google image search “Solid starts- food name” and it shows a google image of how to prepare for FREE
Raisong a child is so expensive, it’s crazy that their safety now has to also vome at a huge cost. I don’t recommend getting this app, it was great when the content was free but it’s not worth the price now.
I was looking forward to using this for my first baby but it’s become way too expensive. Says $130 a year!! Ridiculous! I’ll just search online and use books. Much cheaper.
I was very impressed with this app and how useful it was. Unfortunately, I will no longer be using it, as the once free search capability is gone.
Can’t free search anymore. Being a parent is expensive as it is and now they are preying on parents to get money. Shame on this app.
The website links to your account too so you only have a set of free searches before it starts asking for money. Parental support when it comes to feeding children should be widely available and easily accessible for all parents. Period. Disappointing.
Really pulled a bait and switch on their whole community and paywalled the entire database. There are plenty of free resources that provide the same service and are passionate about helping ALL parents, not just those that can afford it.
I purchased the bundle back in 2022 with my first child. We were so impressed with the guides and videos and access to the app. Especially when they said it will always be free and that you would always have access. Well after my first child finished solids introduction, I chose not to maintain a subscription because we no longer needed it, it became super buggy and we lost all our progress and it was always supposed to be free. Well second kiddo comes around and I can’t add a profile, track foods, and now can only look up six items before I lose access unless I fork over $130. This is ridiculous, charging $130 for families to learn how to safely and nutritiously feed their families, in a time where healthy food already seems like a luxury. Its as much as a bloody streaming service. DO BETTER!
This app was so useful with my now 18 month old. Moving everything behind a paywall after saying they wouldn’t is not cool. I’m sure there are other ways to profit off the work you do for the app. Deleting now and sadly won’t be able to recommend to friends with younger babies.
