Every time an update comes along you hope for improvement don’t you? Not so I’m afraid as the latest update, yesterday 1 August 23 states “Data error, contact webmaster”. Not sure exactly what that means as there is still data flowing round the app, presumably incorrect data and therefore useless data?? Brenian.

Being asked to contact webmaster as data error every time you refresh. Running latest version. Been issues since the update at the weekend.

Have previously given this app justifiably poor reviews. The various updates (I’m now at 4.0.3, iOS 16.6) seem to have fixed various bugs and it now seems fine (in my opinion). May be just me, but is it time to give to give the app developers a bit of a break from the negative reviews?

Forced to update the app, now the cloud/server is messed up and I have no information since the update as it says my plant is offline despite it actually working as it should with all the correct lights. Their interface and app ‘fix’ cycle is very bad with clearly no testing of the app before release. PLEASE Solis supply an app that works, consistently!

Since yesterday access to the app & website keeps getting blocked under the following error: Blocked Sorry, your request is a suscipious threat to the website and blocked by the defense system. Please contact the system administrator to whitelist your access if it is a false positive. Your request id is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Since updating the app recently I am now receiving an error message?

Having just received an in-app prompt to update to the latest version, this took me to the App Store to download it. I took a quick look at the reviews and based on my experience I’m very surprised at the number of negative reviews there are. I’ve had solar and the Solis app since February 2023 and it has always worked fine for me. There is a little lag in the data as it takes time to poll, but otherwise the data is accurate and everything totals up. This is confirmed by my geo Home app which shows me real time data from my smart meter and it confirms what I’m seeing in the Solis app. I can control and make changes to my data and inverter quite straightforwardly. Since installing the App Solis have enabled my access to control my inverter to charge my batteries at night from low rate grid electricity and this also works fine allowing me to enable grid charging when a cloudy day is forecast. So all in all I’m very happy, I sympathise with the many out there who seem to be having problems, but that really does not reflect my own experience.

Just updated and now all information has disappeared, ‘request timed out’ error every time. Simple functionality at this point would be great, please sort it out.

I have just installed my data logger and the App still has a few bugs, for a start my daily Earnings are showing £523 (I wish) instead of £5.23 this is just one bug there are a few others, will give it a few days to see if things settle down but not impressed at the moment

15th July 2023…app been offline for over 10 days now..no help from installer and Solis obviously couldn’t give a dam either…absolute rubbish. Wish I could give minus stars! 1st June 2023 update on all the updates below…. Once again your update has screwed up the inverter which now won’t export and won’t allow me to use the energy which has been generated so I’m losing money again! When will my solar man come to reset the inverter..who knows as he’s as bad as solis…really **** off! Get your act together please! Really wish I could leave minus star rating. 😡. ..original review follows….Was hoping when it said an update had been done it would be better..but no. Real time isn’t very real time as sun is shining and it’s not showing its charging! Not a very clear app to understand at all and so small! Even with glasses I can’t always see how much charge is in my battery! Not far off useless! Update… Every time there’s an update I start getting stressed…yes another update which meant my solar man had to come to put it right…then another update..more stress and within a few days it went down again….a couple of weeks later and it’s not working right again…another call to my solar man? Come on Solis the amount you charge for solar stuff it’s time you sorted your app out. It’s very well doing all the pretty colours (as happened in the last app) but please make it that your app works consistently…it’s not much to ask! And yet another update…and what do I get greeted with “error” and won’t open! When will you do a good update which makes it work properly without screwing everything up completely? So an update on the update feb 2023…apparently I’ve exported 112.2kWh to the grid…come on I only have 10 panels..solar edge says I’ve created about 17kWh and that’s far more reliable than your app and looking at my smart meter solar edge is the one which is right! When are you gonna get your app working right? I wish I could take the star away!
