The progression in this game is fair but boring. Characters are just skins. It be cool if each character had a unique ability like tails could fly or knuckles can punch through or climb up walls. Sadly that is missing. Endless skin grind just like Fortnite. The only thing saving it is the leaderboards to be the best runner in sonic dash +. -- UltimateLifeForm69, 2025-01-03 ### *---- "This game is horrible" When ever I got rid of it to save room for Roblox and when I redownload it made me start over -- CQ493, 2025-01-02 ### ****- "Good game ruined by a bad port from F2P" The guts of the gameplay are fairly solid, but the extrinsic motivations that are on top of them (I.e. everything with the currencies) is totally broken and are clearly a port from the payed version without a clear understanding of what the + version would be. Many of the reviews complain about using red coins for extra lives on a run. That actually seems fine to me, as the cost of continuing a run and going for a high score should be large and increasing to make high scores meaningful. The piece that feels broken to be is the trials system. This is an Apple Arcade game. There is no reason that you would want to introduce friction into playing the game longer without paying, so why do you only get two tasks every hour if tasks are one of the main ways to get gems and experience? You open by getting 10 or so, but then after you complete a task it takes an hour for that slot refresh, or you can pay the primary currency (also used for buying new characters or revives). They don’t store up when not playing, but you get a small stockpile of 6 at midnight. Why is there any friction on this part of the game in the + version?
