SonoPad tries to optimize most often used tasks to have the least taps needed. In the end you are able to navigate and control your players much more fluently.

- Touch To Play: are you sick of always beeing asked what to do when you tap a track or album? SonoPads default is to just start to play. A long press still gives you access to all options - you can also change the tap default on the settings screen. Want to build a playlist fast? Just set the default to 'always add to end' and off you go ...
- tap an album cover image and the whole album starts to play immediately
- aggregated search: search results are collapsed into one view, so you see immediately in what category you have the best results, without switching back and forth
- shortcuts to most used functions: on the bottom bar you have shortcut buttons for artist, albums, radio and musicservices. The Radios menu is rearranged so you are only two taps away from your radio favorites from any place.
- you can control the volume of every player directly from the players popup. No need to switch players anymore.

◆◆◆ Limitations ◆◆◆

- all music services except YouTube Music are supported
- No portrait mode on the main screen
- No playing of music stored on iPad
- No support for administrative features (adding/removing players, music service, ...). You need the official Apps for initial setup of your system, SonoPad will pick up all changes automatically.
- No options to set alarms or sleep settings
- No support for discontinued WD100 dock

- you can start SonoPad with the 'sonopad://' URL from other remote Apps. Its also possible to hand over a return URL and a default player to be selected. Read more about it on my blog!

Sehr gute Alternative zum Sonos App

Endlich funktioniert wieder alles. Sehr viel besser und intuitiver.

Ein herzliches Dankeschön. Sonos Original App seit Update eine Katastrophe.

Perfekt - danach habe ich seit Jahren gesucht

Hallo Stefan Seit ich vor ca fünf Jahren ein Sonos System installiert hatte, fand ich es immer sehr mühsam, die gewünschte Musik abzuspielen. Bis man sich mit dem iPhone durch die Menus getippt hatte - eine Qual. Und der Sonos Remote Controller - als Alternative - ist teuer und wird nicht mehr unterstützt. So bin ich auf diese App gestossen - sie ist einfach perfekt, wenn man wie ich noch ein, zwei alte iPads rumliegen hat. Diese sind nun zu Sonos Fernbedienungen geworden, die immer auf ein Antippen hin die Musiksteuerung erlauben. Wesentliches Feature der Sonopad App ist dabei die Rückwärtskompatibilität mit dem älteren iOS 8 - so habe ich eine Riesenfreude mit den alten iPads und kann endlich meine Musik wechseln, wenn es mir behagt. Vielen herzlichen Dank für diese App! Und allen anderen kann ich sie nur empfehlen! Viele Grüsse Wolfgang

So gut wie nur möglih...

Tja, wie mir der Entwickler der App geschrieben hat, ist Sonos leider nicht in der Lage ein so gutes System herzustellen wie das die Squeezebox mal war. Aber er holt alles raus was machbar ist und bietet gegenüber der Original-App eine wesentlich übersichtlichere und besser zu bedienende Oberfläche. Wenn man also alles aus seinen Sonos-Boxen rausholen will, dann macht diese App es möglich...

Sorry unbrauchbar

Löst jedesmal wenn die App gestartet wird die Gruppen auf. Wecker fehlt. Reagiert nicht wenn Play oder Pause gedrückt wird.

Die Wiedergabeliste funktioniert nicht besonders gut

Einzig die Wiedergabeliste ist träge, ein Titel verschieben ist fast unmöglich, Geduld ist gefragt bis der Titel sich verschieben lässt.

Timer

Coole App hoffentlich schafft ihr es noch lange unter IOS 10 zu bleiben und so meine älteren aber tipptopp funktionierenden Geräte als Controller zu nutzen. Ein echter Mehrwert denn Sonos selbst nicht bieten kann. Schöne wäre, wenn sich der Timer (Sleep-Funktion) implementieren lässte.

Tolle Sache für alte iPads

Auch ich habe mit der App meinen alten iPad 1 als Controller für das neueste Sonos-Betriebssystem wieder zum laufen gebracht. Danke an den Entwickler! Sonos hat das leider nicht geschafft.

Sonos Control nun auch wieder für ältere Geräte!

Dank Sonospad kann ich nun unsere Sonos-Anlage (1x Connect, 1x Amp, 3x Play1) wieder mit meinem alten iPad 1 steuern. Sonospad unterstützt sogar die eben erst möglich gewordene Integration von Apple Music! Wunderbar, funktioniert tadellos.

Chapeau

Sieht nicht so toll aus, wie die (neue) originale Sonos-App. Ist dafür aber direkter in der Bedienung. Alles Wichtige ist JEDERZEIT mit einem Touch erreichbar: Bibliothek, Favoriten, aktuelle Liste, Zonen (und mehr). Die Browserintegration ist eigentlich naheliegend (warum ist das bei Sonos nicht dabei), allerdings brauche ich sie kaum (vielleicht darum ;-)). Auf den aktuellen iOS-Geräten nutze ich trotzdem die Sonos-App, weil ich mich dran gewöhnt habe, weil sie gratis ist, weil sie halt aktueller ist. Aber für meinen iPad 1 mit iOS 5.1.1 ist diese hier App ideal. Und auch die fünf Stutz durchaus wert.
