Well worth buying
Purchased two weeks ago and the app works really well. It found my system quickly and all of my speakers. The interface is fine but the queue menu for my music library could be tweaked but overall it works unlike the Sonos update.

SonoPhone is designed to leverage the latest iOS design principles:
- Tap or drag the player on the top and you'll find the players view to select a new player and with volume controls for all players. From here you can also enter Zone Management, where you can group and ungroup players with drag and drop.
- Tap or drag the Track infos on the bottom and you'll be at the big covers screen
- Drag the main menu from any place to the left or right to have instant access to playlist or shortcuts
- volume + progress popups: when changing volume or progress of a song, you get popups telling you the actual values. Stop guessing your desired values today!
◆◆◆ less taps for common tasks ◆◆◆
SonoPad tries to optimize most often used tasks to have the least taps needed. In the end you are able to navigate and control your players much more fluently.
- Touch To Play: are you sick of always beeing asked what to do when you tap a track or album? SonoPhone defaults to just starting an album or song. A long press still gives you access to all options - you can also change the tap default in the settings menu. Want to build a playlist fast? Just set the default to 'always add to end' and off you go ...
- tap an album cover image and the whole album starts to play immediately
- aggregated search: search results are collapsed into one view, so you see immediately in what category you have the best results, without switching back and forth
- shortcuts to most used functions: drag the main menu to the right to get shortcut buttons for artist, albums, radio and musicservices.
- you can control the volume of every player directly from the player selection screen. No need to switch players anymore.

- you can start SonoPhone with the 'sonophone://' URL from other remote Apps. Its also possible to hand over a return URL, then a new icon is displayed to return to the automation App.

- all music services except Google Music are supported
- no playing of music stored on iPhone
- no support for administrative features (adding/removing players, music service, ...). You need the official Apps for initial setup of your system, SonoPad will pick up all changes automatically.
- no options to set alarms or sleep settings
- no support for discontinued WD100 dock

Absolutely brilliant
Thank you for saving my sanity. You developed a great app and I hope you are now reaping the rewards. The current SONOS mess is of their own making. From reading posts on Sonos user groups this app has saved many from dumping their Sonos gear in favour of something else. Thank you.
Better than similar apps
Struggled with the Sonos apps to get anything at all. This one is so easy to use and maintains the great sound from my Sonos speakers (15 years old). Another big advantage is that if you have a problem you can email designer Stephan and get a quick response rather than a bot or being number 58 in a queue. If you have Sonos equipment you still need their app and Stephan mailed me how to get round a problem with it. It also works from my iPad. Thanks Stephan.
Got my music library back and much quicker overall controls
Works great for me. Our music library lives on our NAS and I did need to make that part work via the desktop app (which on a Mac required a reinstall), but now it’s all fine again. This app is much more responsive than the official one too. Well worth splashing out for the ability to just Sonos again without being annoyed by every interaction.
Made my day
I almost cried with joy after installing this app. My internet radio stations all disappeared in the new, disastrous, Sonos app. I was so frustrated for days and they are now all back, it’s magic.
Brilliant and keep adding options
Since SONOS completely fu..ed up by update, you have bo chance to rescue many people.. I found suggestions on FB that this app works.. and IT IS.. my system is back to normal and working smoothly… THANK YOU and FU…K OFF SONOS
What a relief
This is such an improvement on the disfunctional May 2024 official Sonos app. Well worth the small charge. Thank you so much. I can find and listen to my playlists again and the app responses instantly. Phew!
Excellent
Like a lot of users who have recently bought this app in response to the appalling Sonos so called update, I bought this to access my NAS collection of over 1000 albums. It works perfectly for me, and took all of 10 seconds to set up and work. The response time is very quick and the app does everything I need it to do so no complaints whatsoever. If like countless Sonos users you are unable to use your Sonos hardware, because of the Sonos update, have a look at this app.
Saved my Sonos experience!
After the disastrous May24 Sonos app update, SonoPhone has meant I can use my Sonos system as I previously did (adding to queues, editing queues etc). Recognized my Sonia set up straight away, no issues and works great - 5 stars!
Brilliant
Thank you so much for making this app. I have fallen in love with Sonos again. This is so much better than the official Sonos app which seems to get WORSE over time.
