Absolute junk since the app was rearchitected. Dropped speakers, music services losing connection. Unable to play directly from the Sonos app the majority of the time. Uncontrollable volume. A fine product for years,  it strongly recommend against investing in this ecosystem system now.

There has been a marked decrease throughout 2024 in its reliability with ongoing poor connection problems. The reconfigured app is contributing to this and it is seldom that I have experienced upgrades that have had a negative impact on performance.

If you like your music to play at a random volume on a random speaker …. or maybe not play at all… then this app paired to Sonos speakers are the perfect choice. Beyond garbage since the car crash update in mid 2024… and not improving at all with updates since.

This remains the worst app around. It's unresponsive, frequently only half actions what you've asked (eg turns sonos on, but playing whatever was on last, rather than latest selection), it's constantly signing out of things and having to be re-authorised.
The speakers are good, but I won't but anymore as the app is so bad.

I didn’t have access to my local radio stations for more than six months after the “update”.  Eventually got them back.  I shouldn’t have been surprised to discover they’re all gone again after the most recent update.  Sonos are obviously taking a different approach to customer service.  It seems having contented customers was boring and they craved additional challenges.

Despite restarting the app, deleting and reinstalling the app it simply will not recognise I’ve changed radio station and continues to play the same one.  Oh and when it sort of recognizes I’ve changed station it circles round on the same one or two ads ad-nauseum (pun intended)

Buyer beware, Great speaker, when it works, WiFi DOES NOT STAY WORKING, will drop off the network unless you fix the IP address, which you shouldn’t have to for the price. Everything else on my network works but I’ve had to add this back at least 15 times since I purchased as cannot get a cable to it, sorry I kept it. Arrogant company, needs a serious drop in revenue to take notice of all the online complaints. Horrendous connectivity app also. Just enable Bluetooth for now so we can all get on with our lives.
