Finger weg von Sonos-Produkten
Ich war seit über 10 Jahren ein großer Fan von Sonos und besitze viele Player. Seit dem letzten Update im Mai kann ich nur sagen: Finger weg von Sonos-Produkten!!!
Nichts funktioniert mehr, eine Investition von mehreren tausend Euro ist nur noch Elektroschrott.
Es ist ein Fehler, auf Hardware zu setzen die ohne Software nicht lauffähig ist. Der Hersteller kann einwandfrei funktionierende Hardware mit einem Software-Update unbrauchbar machen.
Schade um die gute Idee, die einst hinter Sonos steckte …
Sonos / S2 App is useless
Horrible upgrade to S2 / Sonos. Intermittently connects to Playbar. I have re-installed the App, removed all the Products (Beam and One) and reset the system and still the Playbar doesn’t connect. Would not recommend the S2 / Sonos App. Am going to try re-install the S1 App and see whether it works. I didn’t have this issue about connecting Playbar before upgrading to S2/Sonos App. I wouldn’t even rate this one star.
From bad to worst!
After the latest all new update on May 7th, it is not able to set or modify alarm setting. Did Sonos test it thoroughly before releasing the update ?? (Update: after 3 updates in a day, now the alarm feature is totally gone. What happens?)
After 2 months the app is still buggy and slow. Even worst than the old app. Sonos should fire the whole app team. Why launched a new app that is worst than the old one?
Bad connectivity
After the new app launch, I’m having difficulties connecting to all my Sonos speakers. The speakers will show as playing on the app but no sound coming out.
App just keeps getting worse
While apps generally get better and faster with each iteration, this app does exactly the opposite. Shocking from Sonos really. Thousands of 1 star reviews show how the app has degenerated and became almost unusable.
Unstable, clunky, slow
The old app was great. Ok maybe UI of old app was not so pretty. But at least it was rock solid in terms of stability.
New app does look cleaner. But it’s highly unstable. I can’t add services like YouTube music. More often than not, the app stalls when I’m trying to play a song. Then when it finally starts playing, often the song plays halfway then skips to the next.

New update is Horrifying Horrible!!!!
My connection to my Sonos beam got disconnected and I had to reconnect to my Beam everytime before I use it!!! What kind of crappy system is this? Before the update, I had no issue each time I use it to listen to music. After the update, I couldn’t even properly connect to my Beam. This is a negative 100stars, don’t even deserve a single star :/
Worst update so far
As user since 5 years, I updated toThe latest version as of June 2024 and it is the worst update version I have ever experienced in all apps.
1. Super slow. Super slow to load the page and super slow to get those icons and also super slow to search
2. Unfriendly main page. The part of exploring musics radios are hidden and hard to navigate to. Only give you the favorite and history.
If there is an option to go back to previous versions would great
We paid for hardware but the attractive point is the software and platform behind. If this is not there can I return also the hardwares?
Thanks Sonos team please consider the feedbacks before releasing new version.
Speakers are great but app took 5years backwards
S1 app was working fine. Speedy launch, fast to find system, direct management of system (volume sliders, toggle to send music to different rooms)
S2 app is very slow to launch, very slow to load, often gives a pop up to “find your system” despite having the exact same system.
Other than the fact that their advertisement for Sonos Ace pops up within half a second, everything else takes 10 seconds to load.

UI is great but that’s about it. Searching for songs and playing songs will take at least 3s for it to load, and everything in the app just feels slow!
