90% of the time, I have to run over to a physical speaker to change the volume, pause it, or change songs. All this while the app just lags and is completely unresponsive. They should just roll back to the non garbage version of the app.

I love my Sonos system and it worked flawlessly until about six months ago when they did an update. Now speakers dropped off randomly, and you have to spend 20 to 30 minutes hooking and unhooking plugging and unplugging  just to make it work. You know it’s bad when the CEO of the company writes an apology letter. I really hope they get it together. Right now it’s nothing but frustrating.

App getting better. Still not great and some issues persist that I have reported for months without any resolution or even acknowledgement.

FIX Pocket Casts, doesn’t sync and recognize play time, but Mac app does!  Please prioritize this in your backlog!

I rarely write reviews. But as a multi Emmy winning app developer I have the credentials to write this. The app is unintuitive and the developers release versions that practically brick your experience requiring you to jump through hoops to fix it. Just today absolutely no music apps would work, until, and get this, I reauthorized SONOS RADIO!! Until I linked sonos radio none of the other music apps, which were currently authorized, would work. They likely made a breaking change for Sonos radio which affected the other apps. That’s a novice mistake. Please guys, bring your development staff up to the same quality level as your spectacular sound system. The only issue with Sonos is their app developer team.

Why is this app so bad?  Was fine years ago when I first started using but has been a buggy disaster for more than a year. I have to reauthorize several accounts EVERY TIME I use the app (LivePhish+ especially) and now it won’t play my Sirius subscription at all. For a company that once prides itself on seamlessness and ease of use, it has fallen off hugely. So disappointed and continue to be after every update that promises fixes.

This is the worst music system I have experienced. The company has no regard for its users. It sells its expensive products and provides no service when it doesn’t work.  I have never been able to get thru on the help line.  I’ve waited for hours and then the line drops.  I will never buy another piece of equipment from them.

Just opened the app to put on night mode, 2/2 12:53AM and I get a no system, would you like to join an existing system found on network? What the heck is going on here Sonos??? That along with my bedroom Arc and Sub3 separating my Arc and now the Arc is no longer present, but the Sub3 shows in the manage under software info like it’s still there, but not the Arc. Neither actually show up as speakers to manage and I’m SO TIRED of unplugging, holding the reset and fixing these speakers week after week after week. Having Sonos speakers to actually work is like a full time job in itself. And don’t get me started on my AppleTV 4K with Dolby Atmos and my Sony 75” 2023 TV with audio drops for 1-2 seconds every 30 min or so.

The updates have moved from a totally bricked system to something that mostly works but it still very very buggy and slow.  I have 21 SONOS components and it’s always a battle to get many running at the same time.  Once you do it might run for hours and then hiccup, stop, some speakers keep playing and some stop.   Overall the app and software are still fair behind from the older version that just worked.  Hoping the new CEO will address the mess that Patrick left.
