To get started simply download the app and follow the on-screen instructions to get to your 15 minute treatment session. You can choose to relax with the gentle micro vibrations or go about your daily activities. The SONU app takes a scan of your face using the front facing camera and personalizes the acoustic therapy based on your facial anatomy and other proprietary factors. Sonu helps me get relief from any sinus issues I have from allergies and the dryness outside. It seems it was simpler to just START A SESSION “ now you almost have to run a CHECK before you can just start. I set a setting that seemed to make it more direct, now it’s back to making it a hassle to simply start a session. Frustrating and a real pain. Also for sum reason once I get it to start a session after about two minutes it looses the connection and wants me to go back to settings and start over. I think with all the smart people that work there , there must be a wah to make this more direct and less of a hassle. It this point I can’t use it, which is a shame because when it does work, it’s very helpful. -- Anything goes?, 2026-09-09 ### *---- "Pre-treatment tests are ANNOYING" 6-12 months ago you used to be able to get in the app and start treatment very easily now you gotta cancel out of the vocal tests and now headband fit. It’s becoming LESS user friendly - moving the wrong way Sonu Team. I would love to be able and come back and change my review. If you need to a monthly calibration and the tests to collect data that would be much better. The product is great. It works. The app has declined. It used to be intuitive, simple and straightforward. After configuration, each session started with analyzing congestion then it turned on the front facing camera to confirm correct fit, then session. The analysis takes longer now, i suspect due to the new animations that appear. Then there is no fit check!!! The home page/dashboard is now full of large buttons with graphics and not all of them are intuitive. The Sonu band connect button is a brick once you’ve connected it instead of being active so you can disconnect or at least it should provide feedback that it is not going to respond. The SONUcast button is weird. I get it is a weather based thing. But i thought it might have to do with podcasts or sending data somewhere. It also takes forever for the sonucast to load. But whoever at Sonu vibe-coded this app clearly skipped massive details. Things that were easily accessible in the previous app are now entirely gone. Core functionality also got buried. I can’t see basic things like battery life; there’s 0 warning about audio being too high; and the alignment check from pre test (to make sure you have it placed well) has been replaced with a manual voice-breath test. Pretty sure that test does nothing anyway. Product is awesome. I stopped using nasal sprays. App has a lot to be desired. Specifically when two people are sharing one. The Bluetooth driver needs to be able to connect to two devices at the same time. Sometimes I spend more than 10 min connecting and give up. -- MansterRock, 2026-04-03 ### *---- "Nonfunctional for new users when servers are down" When I run the app, it says that they are doing server maintenance and I can use the app in offline mode, but there’s nothing I can do at that point. This is a really terrible out-of-the-box experience for new users, and leads to serious questions about whether this hardware, which has no obvious reason for needing any sort of server connection could become e-waste if the company goes under or has server outages, etc. Maybe this is only a problem for new users, but that’s still really bad, because it means if you delete the app, you’re at the mercy of the servers being operational if you want to get up and running. This also appears to violate 5.1.1(v) of the iOS App Store review guidelines, so this is not a small concern. It needs to be fixed ASAP, and Apple should refuse to approve updates until such time as the app’s offline mode works without logging in or creating an account first. -- dgatwood, 2026-03-26 ### ***** "Love it!"
