Latest app won’t let me use headphone with my iPad unless is sign up for a Sony service that requires tracking of my location.
I want to start off by saying you shouldn’t need an app to use this with Bluetooth being in its current state. But at the very least, an app that works would be nice. These headphones were expensive and now I can only use them with the headphone jack, great! I suggest anyone to purchase from any other audio company.
App is really nice. Set up easy enough that even I can use it. Like the way I can customize my sound and have many different presets. App is pretty close to perfect. Can’t think of anything to make it better.
These headphones with a little tweaking sound amazing….this EQ app is absolutely ingenious ✅
Start over and simplify, focus on basic user tools. Stop going into browser mode trying to collect data. Just let us listen and have easy controls. Sign in and setup is horrible and I’m very disappointed Sony ES audiophile. 5 band EQ is terrible. There should be 10 bands to customize sound better.
App routinely loses connection as soon as you try to pair and confirm. Regular bluetooth is fine. Directions to sync are incorrect. Had to go to reddit to get the correct instructions on how to setup things. Records an absolute insane amount of personal data.
These headphones are terrible. The sound quality is decent. Everything else is worse is every way when compared to the AirPods or the Beats. The app likes to spam you, and send you adds. Connecting takes way too long and always takes several attempts. This app complicates what should be a simple process. If you have an iPhone, do yourself a favor and get the AirPods or the beats. There is no advantage to dealing with this app over just having your phone auto connect.
The year is 2024. You have nice Bluetooth headphones for your PC. You have to run a bluetooth connection simultaneously to your computer and phone in order to use Sony’s Headphone App. This app is essential since it stops cutting out from occurring. Great quality headphones held back by awful software.
Cons - Ads: SONY, stop using this app to advertise. - Messy, non-intuitive GUI - App only for iOS and Android - at the very least, there should be Mac & Windows apps for people without smartphones. - No ability to name custom EQ settings - they are automatically named “custom 1” “custom 2” and so on. - EQ should have more adjustability
