To join Sophia, all tutors are fully vetted by the Sophia Education team, undergoing a rigorous interview process to ensure that all the tutors we provide are of high calibre, reliable, professional, excellent communicators and, most importantly, inspirational teachers, who can connect with their students.

Tutors undergo a thorough recruitment, vetting and on-boarding process to ensure that every tutor on our platform has passed our rigorous professional standard, upholds the Tutors’ Association Code of Ethics and has successfully completed a Safeguarding Awareness Course offered free by Sophia.
Once you are a verified Sophia tutor, the app allows you to choose your desired locations, select your schedule and set your availability. Client payments to tutors are cashless and secure via Stripe, at the end of every session. Sophia does not charge tutors for any aspect of using the app and all sessions are covered by both public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
We provide a more convenient, efficient and accessible way of supporting tutors in developing their own private tuition business. Sophia takes the admin work out of private tuition so you can focus on what you like to do best.
