Sortly: Inventory Simplified

This was a decent app, that I‘ve been intensely using on iPhone, iPad and as desktop version, until out of nowhere came a redesign. Now to me Sortly is useless. – No more manual sorting option – No (CVS / PDF) export of all items at once – Image layouts altered, so the originally square pictures are cut off (this is just disastrous for a visual person like me, and especially when you‘ve been spending hours making all the pictures square in the first place) – No more line breaks in the description box —> also loss of clarity here – iPad App wont start anymore at all As a user of more than 5 years, I am furious. Also because I wrote the developers to please bring back the old features and nothing has changed since. What did the redesign even improve? Who needs a new layout when the old one was way more functional? What were the developers thinking? Why did no one think about asking the customers first? I for sure am looking for a new app to organise my stuff.

Simple to use

I wish ive owned is app before i moved the first time as a lot of my stuff is still in boxes in a storage. What i did then was just taking a pic of every item going into a box. Its fast and efficient (look through photos, see what you are looking for, open box - boom) This is the ultimate version of this approach. With the new version its ultra fast to take pics of new items going into a box, a storage, a drawer. ... you can label, sort, organize by box, room, corner, storage facility... and then the best part and the ultimate benefit of this app: reorganize. When i look for a thing, i take it out of the box, and also in the app i can 'take it out of the box'. And if it goes back in, i know that too. The qr-tags are great. I love organizing stuff with this and the app is ever improoving and has a webverison for faster text edit now too. Great!!!! Thanks so much to the team

This App. is excellent. I am getting to an age where keeping track of things is becoming increasingly difficult, and "My Things" goes a long way towards resolving this problem. It is very simple to use and has some great features, like loading snapshots or placing markers. This is one of the best Apps I have ever downloaded. Walter Glattau, Vienna

This app has been pretty cool so far, but there need to be some adjustments that are implemented. There are times where I’m subtracting quantity from line items and it would double, triple, or quadruple the line items I selected to update. They should also consider showing the most recent update that’s been made on a particular line item just in case these random jumps occur. If these things are fixed I believe this app would be top of the line.

My paid yearly subscription for 2023 was $468.00 which was a significant increase from 2022. Sortly just billed my account for 2024-2025 12 months service AT $1428.00. PRICE INCREASE OF $960. The I have contacted customer support in regards to this OVERPRICING of a service that has not improved my service warranting a price increase of this amount. If pricing cannot be justified I will have to look elsewhere. Sortly we know inflation has taken over the country but you don’t have to play into the game of increasing your pricing by $1,000 with NO JUSTIFICATION.

An FYI, since this app wants you to create yet another account to then waste your time building your inventory, only to find that there is a cap for the free account- it is 100 items. I understand the need to make a profit , but I do not understand the lack of information regarding this requirement. I am trying to keep track of my rock and mineral collection, and I am definitely NOT EVER going to pay $24 a month to keep track of the minerals in my collection, no thank you. Perhaps a $10 or $20 one-time purchase for life, but NO, I do not find $24 a month reasonable for what I want to use this app for, and many people won’t, either. Please stop wasting people’s time by instead CLEARLY stating what is and is not included for each level of this app, and at what cost. Stop playing the what’s it cost game. I should not have to Google this information when there is an APP DESCRIPTION right in the Apple Store which is supposed to do this for me. Thanks.

I have been here for 5 years, cost is less than $500 a year, stayed within my entry limitation only to receive notice that my level is jumping to $5376 a year! That is insane! I guess they don’t want little companies like mine, just the big corporations. Best of luck to you Sortly!

Use the app to catalog my war gaming miniatures collection.

I decided to try the 2 week free trial. Within 48 hours, I realized it wasn’t the product I needed and cancelled my subscription. Sortly charged me $49.99 anyway. When I asked why and could they refund the money, they gave me the run-around of asking Apple for a refund. I don’t understand how companies like this stay in business.
