Share a thought, a situation, a question — and receive insight from the four great corpora of the tradition: Torah (weekly Parasha), Tehillim (Psalms), Talmud (Havruta) and Gematria. Every insight quotes the sources verbatim. Nothing is invented: only authentic commentaries (Rashi, Ramban, Ibn Ezra, Sforno, Or HaChaim, Radak…) already present in the texts, brought into conversation with what you are experiencing. — ONE THOUGHT, FOUR LENSES — • Weekly Parasha: universal motif and verses that resonate with your thought. • Tehillim: psalm of the day and segulot (recommendations by occasion: healing, protection, gratitude…). • Havruta: two-step Talmudic study — choose a motif, then dive deep with Rashi and Tosafot. • Gematria: numerical value of your words, classical equivalences, graph of connections. • Unified insight: a synthesis of all four sources in a single reading. — MAGGID, VERSE-BY-VERSE STUDY — Study each parasha with a Maggid from a specific era (Maggid of Troyes, Darshan of Toledo…). The Maggid only draws on the commentators allowed by his school. You can: • Ask questions in chat (interactive havruta). • Turn on pilpul: he will systematically raise a kushia (objection). • Request a comparison between commentators ("Rashi writes… Ibn Ezra writes…"). • Cross-reference the verse with the Talmud Bavli (semantic search across 35,000+ passages). — TEFILOT, A PRAYER COMPANION — Weekly Parasha & Haftarah, Tehillim & Segulot, verse-by-verse Hebrew/English reader. 30-day cycle of the 150 Psalms. Favorite verses. — HISTORY, A LIVING BACKGROUND — Semantic search across the Encyclopedia Judaica (54,000+ articles), Flavius Josephus, the Maccabees, the sources on Jews under Rome and the Amarna Letters. Interactive map of the 12 tribes; a grand historical timeline of exiles, temples, kings, rabbis, texts and schools. — DISCUSS ANY INSIGHT — Each result opens a gentle havruta chat that knows the full context on screen (passage, commentaries, references) and answers with precision, always citing the sources. — A RESPECTFUL APPROACH — Source J contains no advertising, no tracker and no behavioural analytics tool. Your data stays primarily on your device. See our privacy policy for details. The app is a study companion. It does not replace a teacher, a yeshiva, or your own work. It is an invitation to enter the text differently. — IMPORTANT NOTICE — Source J is not a therapeutic tool, a medical device, or a substitute for psychological care or medical advice. If you are experiencing emotional distress, a crisis, or seeking guidance, please consult a qualified professional (doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, rabbi). In case of life-threatening emergency, contact your local emergency services (911 in the US, 112 in Europe) or a suicide prevention hotline. — LANGUAGES — Interface and content in French, English and Hebrew. Voice reading (TTS) in a mature male voice. — CONTACT — A question, a suggestion, a thought?
