## South Bay Credit Union Mobile Reviews in United States

### *---- "Not everyone can be up to date with technology so I can’t login anymore."
The new app requires iOS 17. I don’t have that. Literally can no longer log into my account via the app. So, tried on Safari. But guess what? Since you save everything with your finger print now, it’s not saved and I can’t log on. Also, they use AI, which is the downfall of humanity. So cool, now can’t login to my own bank account, and supporting a company who uses one of the worst things to ever exist, which I have to go through to try to figure out my login info now… Which is actually useless. BRING BACK REAL EMPLOYEES AND BRING BACK THE OLD APP PLEASE.
-- Hillbilly Jonny, 2026-10-01

### ***** "South Bay is one of the best credit unions I’ve had."
I’ve only had credit unions from Xceed which was bought out by Kinecta. Kinecta are crooks! Charging over draft fees when you weren’t over drafted, Kinecta was the place this was an issue at. Since I been at South Bay, I’ve been at ease, never had a problem with overdraft, great customer service. Love how they can make me a new card on the spot. The app has work great for everything I’ve needed. Hope it continues..
-- BenMejor, 2025-11-16

### **--- "App is really lacking"
They did an update not long ago but still, I bank with 4 other institutions and SBCU is the most dated app of all. I would be a more active member if it wasn't for that.
-- MenendezJenn, 2025-02-01

### *---- "Stay away from this credit union"
This credit union stinks frankly. Their customer service is very poor and they give absurd, nonsensical reasons for denying applications for credit cards. There are much better credit unions and lending institutions out there. These people will just be a waste of time and they will put inquiries on your credit profile for no reason.
-- BL 1978 Reviews, 2023-11-30

### *---- "Update is terrible"
Never can get past the loading screen
-- domeyezhp, 2021-08-27

### ***** "Face ID"
Easy to access with Face ID!
-- Supperman905, 2019-06-08

### **--- "No log out option"
With the merger of the two apps you lost the functionality to log out. Will you be adding this back soon?
-- arp&ica, 2017-02-04

### ***-- "App is okay"
Does not have touch ID login. Get with the times, every other banking institution has it.
-- Lcueva23, 2016-05-19

### *---- "New update is terrible"
The app worked fine before the update. Now it is glitchy, it makes you repeat the same steps over and over. It starts you over in the middle of doing something. I wish I could go back to the old version. Please fix asap!
-- Kim36, 2016-03-07

### *---- "NOT WORTH A STAR"
I have tried to use the app on an iPhone 4S with no results. It simply does not work. I notified the issue to SBCU people by phone but has not taken it into accounts.
