I went through a whole desaturated for my last booking. I purchased a ticket on Christmas Day, but I paid with Apple Pay. It took the money out my account,but give me my booking. I had to wait days to get my refund, rebooked and pay more than the original price I paid for in the beginning. This is the first bad experience I’ve ever had trying to book a flight.

We flew Tampa to Austin (with crew continuing to phoenix) today and even though literally every flight was delayed due to weather and things seemed understaffed, the flight attendants, crew and everyone we saw employed by southwest or the airport was so apologetic and trying their best to give up to date information and move things along as quickly as possible. The captain said they’d never experienced delays like that in 35 years. Today must have been exhausting for them and we appreciate all they did to get us home!

If your flight gets canceled and you need to fly standby, be very wary of southwest. Check in with the attendant who scans your ticket, not the people at the gate desk for the status of your standby (in addition to the app) as they are the most likely to see if there is room on board.

Three flights today, including my own, had additional seats available and standby names were never called or notified.
