I hate to complain but I find the SPAR2U app lethargic… I use other similar apps like checkers 60 and in comparison the spar app is super slow at time’s frustrating to use .. the driver tracking almost non existent

The app doesn’t allow you to choose alternatives. It also doesn’t have an updated “out of stock” list. So I got multiple phone calls to tell me about items that are out of stock. It may be an individual store issue, but it took EXCEPTIONALLY long to complete the order. I have ordered more than 2 hours ago and they are still struggling to “complete” the order. That is painful if you are used to the efficiency of 60sixty or PnP ASAP.

Useless can’t even allow you to sign up/in

Not only does the app not update you with the progress, you can’t track the driver. App told me my order was delivered when it wasn’t and the driver only showed up 30min later.

Terrible service at Queenstown (Protea and Lukhanji Spar) with unprocessed or late deliveries. When trying to cancel the order after waiting for 3 hours the app says it’s already processed, never ordering again. Even their customer line is terrible.

Very unlikely to use

The app is a very user friendly app, just one thing that is a bit of a let down, you cannot track your delivery once it is out on a delivery, that would be a big help with seeing the arrival. Otherwise the rating would have been ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is by far the worst app ever, I order 4 items from a spar that less than a km away from me and it takes 2 hours to deliver, no progress report on how far the driver is, still stuck on processing order yet driver is already on the way! 2 hours later just to deliver 2 loaves of bread, and 2 packets of fruits. Madness!

I usually use checkers 60 as it’s efficient and very user friendly. Today I used spar as they had better deals.. I placed an order at 11:24 and at 12:27 I am still waiting for my order .. I ordered +- 5 items how does it take over an hour to get my order delivered?? The app is also ridiculous to navigate and does not show me all the details of my order. I had to phone spar to confirm they have my order and they told me I would get my order at 1? So an hour and a half I have to wait for 5 items.. no thanks I’d say stick to checkers for the convenience.. that’s why they are ahead of the game!

This has to be the worst app - you place an order successfully and when the order is picked, half of the items in the cart are suddenly out of stock and it’s obviously things that you need. The most frustrating part is that the app allows you to add items and shows that they are available, once you have paid and placed the order then receive an email notifying you items are out of stock. I even tried a different Spar on the app but same nonsense. It happens almost every time I place an order. Then you have to wait a few days to be refunded when it’s their fault. So if you don’t have any funds in your account, you need to wait for a few days to get refunded to use them again. It is so frustrating, such a waste of time using this app.
