I’ve used the app a few times. It doesn’t have the full range of groceries but it’s quite user friendly with a fair range. BUT for about as many times I’ve used it, I’ve also been locked out. The app keeps asking for sign in or up information and after laboriously reentering this and adding my OTP, it says I’ve signed in, but it doesn’t let me actually enter the site. Although the Spar is my physical shop first choice, it isn’t for virtual shopping.

But when I pay R40 extra for a R400 order if feel the reserv fee is pointless and I’m paying extra R40 for what? Plus the R35 delivery fee. Then I might as well go in store …🤷🏼‍♀️

I ordered using the app today, I’m very much happy :)

The App is non functional. After 30 minutes of placing the order I called the store to follow up and was told their system is down and they could not shop the food. There after they called to say the food has been dispatched. I waited another 30 minutes - you can’t track the driver on the App. I called again only to be told there’s driver my food is still at the shop. When I wanted to cancel the order I couldn’t on the App as it said dispatched when it was still at the shop.

The app looks simple enough, and I’m sure it’d work well enough too, but I am theoretically incapable to even try as it will not accept my address. Whether I enter it manually or use the locator, it refuses to find it. Terribly poor in this day and age, how unfortunate.

Worst app to buy from, my products were not available in the store including my replacements, they said they would refund me my money, instead of making gift cards or sending a coupon to refund me , they sent an email saying the money would be refunded back to my account, its been a month, i tried contacting support and they never helped me with anything, they even requested my bank statement, poor service delivery, I wouldn’t recommend buying from SPAR2U , rather buy your products straight from the shop or order from other shops

You order from spar2U they do not give you options for substitute they never call you have to run around calling the store to substitute the item rather than just cross it out when there is tons of replacements. The worse part spar app will say an item is out of stock and you get to the store my word you find the product the that’s when i knew that spar2U app not worth ordering from when there is checkers60/ picknpay asap/ even OneCart apps that offer far more better services and grant you substitute on their site before checking out and not delay refunds. Don’t download this app just go to spar store if you need to get anything from there directly

When searching for a product the app is extremely slow compared to the Woolies and PnP apps.

Sometimes works but crashes a lot when making payments

You can’t see how far the driver is. The driver does not arrive within the specified time and you don’t know how far they are. I live in a complex where you need to be somewhat near the gate to open for the driver.
