SpeakEasy Italian Phrasebook Reviews

Ripoff for “full version”

Scubaroosterny on

Don’t buy the full version, it’s Very Far from full. I thought for example the section “ordering in restaurants” had sections on appetizer, meats, etc so I bought the full version, but no, those were just the word for appetizer. Feel duped. Waste of 4.99 for certain.

Great App for Beginner

It not only has great clear correct pronunciation… but uses a flash card learning method which is fantastic. You can control the rate at which you go through it… how many time you review. I am using this in addition to my lessons with tutor.

Lacks common phrases on iPhone 7

FD2224 on

United States

Purchased this app to be used for iPhone and iPad. iPad version works pretty well. However on iPhone 7 I don’t seem to get the full program because iPhone 7 does not support the os needed to get all the features. I can accept that but what is annoying is that under greetings, common phrases like good morning, good evening and good night are not there (or at least I could not find them). Also could not find asking for the bill in a restaurant. Which I understand you have to do in Italy. I hope I’m wrong about some of these missed phrases and it’s just that I haven’t found the yet. All in all I think it’s a pretty good program.

Hardly anything free

Free version is relatively worthless. Why even have it? I wish there was an option where you get more free content if you watched ads

No articles supplied with nouns

apopheniac on

United States

With the phrase book in the free version no articles are supplied with nouns or any indication given as to gender. Nor is there given any indication whether the noun is singular or plural.

Pretty good for Italians but they don’t offer most of the stuff for free

Free vs Full Version

SoVeryKerry on

United States

There isn’t much at all to the Free or Trial Version. Not worth downloading. Just advertise it as the Full Version with the cost or offer more to get acquainted with in the Free App. Once I realized I couldn’t do anything unless I paid for the Full Verdion, I deleted it.
