Speed Adviser is a driver's aid designed to reduce speeding and save lives. Using the GPS capability of your iPhone, the Speed Adviser app monitors your location and speed, and alerts you via visual and audible warnings if you exceed the speed limit. Speed Adviser is for NSW roads only. NEVER BE UNSURE OF THE SPEED LIMIT AGAIN Speed Adviser displays the speed limit for the road you are travelling on. Speed Adviser knows the speed limit on all roads in NSW, including all school zones and their operating hours. The app uses the latest speed zone data. BE NOTIFIED OF SPEED LIMIT CHANGES You can nominate how Speed Adviser tells you of a change in the speed limit. You can elect to have the new speed limit spoken in a male or female voice, to hear a simple sound effect, or to disable all audio alerts entirely and rely on the visual alert (speed limit symbol with a flashing yellow background). TOO FAST! Speed Adviser will play an audible alert and a visual alert if you are speeding, to remind you to keep safely within the sign posted speed limit. If you continue to exceed the speed limit, Speed Adviser will repeat the audible and visual alerts. SCHOOL ZONES Always know when a school zone is active. Speed Adviser knows where and when every school zone in NSW operates, including gazetted school days and non-standard school times. Speed Adviser lets you know if the school zone is active and will display the speed limit of 40 km/h. NIGHT DRIVING Speed Adviser uses an internal database of sunrise and sunset times to automatically switch between day and night modes. The night mode emits less light, and so reduces eye strain while driving. Speed Adviser also automatically saves your preferred brightness setting. RUN OTHER APPS AT THE SAME TIME Audible alerts from Speed Adviser still play when the app is running in the background. This means you can have other apps operating and still hear announcements and warnings from Speed Adviser. L PLATE AND P PLATE DRIVERS Learner and Provisional (‘P1 and P2’) drivers are not permitted to use this app. WARNINGS You must not adjust the app while driving. You must comply with the NSW Road Rules and not use the app or your smartphone in any manner contrary to the Road Rules. Always have your phone in a commercial phone mount when using a driver’s aid such as Speed Adviser, in accordance with the NSW Road Rules, and ensure your phone does not obscure your view of the roadway. Because it takes a lot of power to run the GPS hardware in your iPhone, and to reduce battery drain on your phone, you should use your car’s power socket while operating Speed Adviser. Also, you should always shut down the app when you are finished driving. PRIVACY Speed Adviser does not collect data or report speeding events to Transport for NSW or any other organisation or agency. App would be used constantly if not for the alerts volume not working: so the alerts are super loud when listening to anything else. It shocks my little daughter with “why is that man shouting at us?” I’ve tried it on two different iPhones. -- MarkoTurner, 2024-11-05 ### *---- "Inaccurate" App is inaccurate. Incorrectly lists speeds on Significant State Highways that changed 10 years prior. Developer wants us to do the legwork rather than understanding what the speeds are in their own jurisdiction. -- da_wheel, 2024-06-11 ### *---- "Wrong speed" This app is dangerous. It displays the wrong speed limit. -- Gaarrryyy, 2024-04-10 ### **--- "A Claytons App" Speed advisor..the speed advisor that advises you of the speed even when it doesn’t know the speed..making it live would be a better way to go brainiacs -- Tony 4@, 2024-02-19 ### *---- "Waiting for gps signal" Waiting for gps signal. Thats all i can see. Although location services is enabled for the app. Iphone 14pro -- chandchand1121, 2023-09-27 ### *---- "Waiting and waiting and waiting for GPS signal" Title says it all. Tested app on iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 14 Max Pro and neither gets past “Waiting for GPS signal “. 😢 -- Freedfam, 2023-09-18 ### **--- "School zone" School zone is only thing which make me download this app. What if you add a speedometer in this app that will be fantastic. Everyone will love this app if you can do it. Thanks -- Arri_s, 2023-07-29 ### *---- "ios doesn’t run at the background anymore" It used to able to run in the background so I could run speed adviser at the background and google map to navigate. However, now it exit automatically in few minutes -- corolla121, 2023-04-04 ### *---- "Speed Adviser CR(APP)" I have downloaded this app and reinstalled it several times now and it continues to give the same message “waiting for gps signal” , I have a iPhone 13 Pro fully updated with everything switched on but this app doesn’t want to operate. It’s a complete waste of taxpayers money and I would like to know how much money was spent developing it, I would assume it should have been released on April fools day as it’s a joke. It’s like a television that can’t be tuned to receive any channels. -- Stevie. Revenge, 2023-01-14 ### **--- "Useful but inaccurate info at times" I like the large display and the idea behind the app (the speed limit changes 17 times during my relatively short drive to work). Quite baffling (and annoying), though, that an RMS-backed app gets the speed limit wrong so frequently. I hope the next version can fix these errors. -- Trumpalar, 2022-11-03 [View all Speed Adviser reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Speed Adviser Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Free | Australia | Navigation | #206 | ## Speed Adviser Discovered Keywords - speed adviser ## Apps Similar to Speed Adviser - [VicTraffic](https://apptail.io/app/victraffic-uM/australia) - [Petrol Spy Australia](https://apptail.io/app/petrol-spy-australia-gFe/australia) - [Speedlimit 88 GPS Speedometer](https://apptail.io/app/speedlimit-88-gps-speedometer-zZg/australia) - [NSW National Parks](https://apptail.io/app/nsw-national-parks-syl/australia) - [NSW FuelCheck](https://apptail.io/app/nsw-fuelcheck-tFm/australia) - [LinktGO](https://apptail.io/app/linktgo-KSm/australia) - [Ampol](https://apptail.io/app/ampol-nvn/australia) - [Village Roadshow Theme Parks](https://apptail.io/app/village-roadshow-theme-parks-Oit/australia) - [AnyTrip](https://apptail.io/app/anytrip-IvP/australia) - [Truckwiz Australian Navigation](https://apptail.io/app/truckwiz-australian-navigation-PoXd/australia) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
