## Spider Remote Description
Spider Remote is a graphical editor and device management app for use with Line 6 Spider V guitar amplifiers.

Connect to a Spider V via Lightning cable to browse, download, edit and save your guitar tones. 


An active connection to a Spider V amp is not required to browse and edit tones, and tones can be saved in the user's Line 6 account.

Issue is it's an incredibly tedious process to get the app to even recognize it is connected to the amp. So whats the point if it doesn't work almost 85-90% of the time? Disappointed in this overall, when it works it's cool but it probably won't. Don't waste your hard earned money, look elsewhere for a more practical and reliable system set up.

Delete the app and restore it with new. Ask for reset of password, after reset it should work. It did for me. App is very useful and very applicable for my iPad and SpiderV240 amp. Love it, very useful.

Not sure about all the hate this app is getting. I’m new to this app but so far it’s pretty easy to use and it’s super cool. There’s a lot of customization to finding awesome tones. Also you can upload and check out other people’s tones too. It’s pretty sick!

### ****- "Great for what it does, could do more"
It’s amazing technology, maybe I appreciate it more because when I was younger this would’ve seemed like science fiction. Having all these effects in the app, creating presets, using the excellent presets that come with the app to as well as downloading presets from the Internet, it’s amazing functionality. 

But I wish it had a bit more functionality like the things you can access from the itself, like the metronome or the tuner, because I don’t play writing in front of a app and I have to get up every time I want to use the tuner.

And it has one bug, which is that if you switch to another app in your iPad, and then go back to this app, it’s frozen and there’s no way to bring it back other than killing it and then open it again. Not a huge deal, but still it’s a bog and hopefully they will address it.

The app is well designed to customize and store tones for the modeling amp. however, the app freezes anytime you change apps (any-YouTube, metronome, etc. ) and attempt to return to it, forcing you to quit the app and restart it. Apparently this bug has been going on for a while based on other reviews and I’m hoping the developer will fix it soon.

It’s not good enough to sell amps and advertise them as a peripheral devices that profit from the cloud if the app that allows one to do that is 4 years old and crashes without any buttons being pressed. I feel cheated.

1. App frequently crashes/ freezes and needs reboot. 
2. App frequently signs you out of your account, locking you out of your saved tones until you sign back in.
3. Not many user created shared tones in the cloud.

Overall its fine, the software for the app needs to be entirely rebuilt for it to be reliable. 

That being said, you can find some nice tones on the cloud for popular artists/songs and for that reason it gets 3 stars because thats really what its for even though its a pain to use sometimes. Its worth getting if you have a spider.

### ***** "The longest and most informative review (with tips) you’ll find here"
So I want to preface my (long but informative) review by stating that I’m incredibly fortunate, and after ~12 years have recently reached the near-virtuoso skill level of guitar playing (the kind where learning an A7X solo takes 30 minutes tops and Yngwie songs can be same-day tasks). I’m not stating to brag but rather try to provide a frame of reference and assurance to the reader that their review isn’t from some 16 year old kid or a guy who hasn’t gotten better in 20+ years. Nothing wrong with those things, but I can’t stand people basing choices on well written reviews that aren’t actually based on reality to someone who knows what they’re talking about. 

 Now line6 (and particular their Spider product line) have always had an abysmal reputation, and that’s for a good reason; a long history of cheap products at cheap prices loaded with cheap effects that sound - you guessed it: cheap. (FYI never trust a single product to provide you with every effect and think it’s going to sound high quality). While the Spider V Mkii line (not to be confused with the original Mk) are certainly not going to ever sound like a Telegun or a Diezel or a Marshall, they’ve made huge strides in regards to their price point and distinguished themselves from other low-tier amp makes (Crate etc) in ways that are not being acknowledged fairly. 

The target audience for these amps are NOT for someone to use while performing on stage, or who has gained a deep and irrevocable addiction to tonality. But if you’re being honest about where you’re at and what your needs are, the v20/30 (if you can go any higher you’re better off with a different product at those prices) are basically among the best options at their price points atm. If you have to play through headphones a lot to avoid disturbing others, are within your first couple years and still exploring effects, chaining them, terminology, playing with your EQ knobs, etc, or you want to make acceptable recordings of your playing (not good, but passable to get points across and maybe impress your family and non musical friends/girlfriends if you know how to use it correctly), then this is a great choice for you (These amps come with a free copy of Cuebase, which is tricky to finagle but I’ve managed to get a couple remarkable recordings for free software and a dirt cheap amp). 

I use it for playing through when everyone else starts going to bed, I’m obsessed and often play until about 4am with headphones on. I have to say they’ve

can’t access any options for My Tones or the Cloud. it doesn’t even let me tap the tab to get to that option, or search. I have an iphone 12. app also crashes if the screen is idle. why not fix this?

I have tested this out and successfully used every other iOS device I own with this and my spider v 60 mkii, including an android tablet and my pc! For whatever reason though, my new iPad has NEVER worked with the amp… developers, any ideas? Please? Help me fix the issue and I’ll gladly edit this review and give 5 stars! That’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars.   HELP!

Just purchased the spider v 120. Connected it, and tried to download an update it said it needed, and the update failed. Now when I log into the app, it will only let me access the “my tones” and “cloud” tabs, but not the “spider” tab which lets you see all the tones. Very disappointed.

I’ve had no problems with the app or using it to edit tones. I just gave 4 stars because the graphics could be way better. The sound is obviously the most important thing. But, when you fork out hundreds of dollars for an amp and fbv 3 it would be nice to see and use a nice looking app to edit tones.

When I do get it to work on my old iPhone phone, it crashes, freezes, or some other issue that is upsetting when it occurs during a GIG! Horrible software app.
