Spin is brilliant for meeting tennis players and making friends. The app is easy to use, and it’s made organising games super simple. I’ve connected with people at my level and improved my game from getting to play so many different playing styles. Highly recommend for anyone who loves tennis!
Helps you play lots of tennis but good luck with the rankings, utterly bonkers scoring system!
Have been using this app for a few years now and it is brilliant for meeting fellow players at similar levels and above to improve my game and get out and exercise! Joined a league in Autumn also which was great for match practice and fun competition. Highly recommend this app for players of any level 👍🏽🎾
I’ve tried a few similar services over the years but none have been as good as this. Spin has cracked it! Great interface, well designed, friendly and responsive support. Since signing up I’ve played more different players in 2 months than in the past 20 years.
I’ve joined Spin some years ago and never looked back. If you’re a bit (or more!) competitive and want to play more tennis, then the Spin League might be for you. I’ve joined my local league shortly after lockdown and hardly missed a season since. I’ve really enjoyed the seriousness of it, the range of people (all super nice a bar a very few exceptions!) and the general set up of the whole thing (e.g. rules, divisions, app functionality, etc). Have played so much more tennis than before, and with a more diverse pool of players. I also love that the administrators act on feedback and constantly make changes to make the experience even better. Love it!
I’ve recently moved to central London and this is the app you need to download if you want to play tennis for fun or competitively. Today I’ve just played in a SPIN organised doubles tournament and it was honestly very well organised and got to meet lots of new players who want to play on a regular basis. Met the CEO (Ganesh) today too and he is a hard working guy trying to make the app better so all round pleased with the app and the services that it provides.
Lots of rules laid out, but nothing in place in terms of safety of meeting strangers in parks or what to do if you are being sent creepy messages. All the women I have spoken to have an unpleasant story to share. Lilu, the chat bot makes things extra unfun. Don’t think this will be bought by Strava anytime soon.
Really well organised tennis league. Met a lot of friendly players, easy to arrange games, and the app organisers are really responsive if there are any issues (eg contacting other players etc). A lot of fun, and a well set up app.
After going through great lengths to explain how much I played and how good I thought I was, giving examples of matches I won playing against Advanced folks on RacketPal, after speaking with Lilu directly (the CS rep I imagine), I was still placed in a division with people who just got into or back into tennis. Super frustrating matches where there’s nothing in it for me because I’m playing someone not very good. Really horrible experience. Wow, just what I spent purposeful time trying to avoid! Will you look at that. Fool of me for assuming they’d be thorough and I shouldn’t oversell myself. I tried being honest about saying I was probably lower advanced. Which is why I ended with low intermediates. Yay! Well, I should have oversold myself, and you should too if you’re any decent. Thanks for nothing, Spin.
