Not fair

Unfortunately the app forces you to pay in the most uncomfortable moment, when you already use it for a couple of days as a group. Also no clear indication whether one person should buy the PRO version or the whole group. More feedback about the app: Do user testing and check which functions are essential and remake design that makes important user flows seamless and effortless. Too many buttons at the moment, everyone i use it with struggles to add expenses quickly concrete suggestion: remake expense adding page by splitting it to a four step form 1 step = type currency amount 2 step = select who this expense concerns from a list of groups and people (list sorted by last used) 3 step = select who paid 4 step = select who owes (current way is too much text, checkboxes work better) (also immediately show a preview of how this new expense will change group balances) Smaller suggestions - smart debt resolution should be on by default imo - add dark mode

Paid tier is a little disappointing

Difference between paid and free products are small for my family’s use case. If I had one wish, I’d hope yearly charts. Monthly or all time is not very complete.

New price policy and limits 👎

App was working great for me and my friends for more than 3 years now and I was paying for a premium for a month (it was about 2 euro back then) when we travelled with several friends, bur 6 euro is too much for a month. Also day limit on transactions number in free version is ruined it for us. That would be much better if you just need to pay per trip and not for monthly subscription. Subscription is just not for this app imo. Unfortunately, I have to switch to other app, two stars just because it was working for us for years before.

Awful update

Maximum 3 expenses a day and forced 10 second advert killed this app.

Ruined by daily limits

This was ok if a slightly clumsy way of tracking expenses within a friend group. Now that they've added daily expense addition limits this became almost unusable in one big sweep. I wouldn't mind paying for pro if it was a one-time payment or reasonably priced but asking for 6 euros a month for an app I use once every two months is completely ridiculous.

Spoiled

Not allowing take photos on free version. Too expensive to pay yearly payment for couple of trips.

Day-to-day necessity

Clear and easy to use. Makes a relationship and friendships last longer.

Splitwise is completely Unusable after new update

The new update restricts number of bills added to 3/day. If you want to sort out your expenses with your friends after a vacation, good luck adding 50 transactions to splitwise. It defeats the point of an expense sharing app.

Only one feature missing

It would be nice to add group members without emails or phone numbers; just a name to which you could add expenses.
