Smooth and easy, you can register, sahte and document any expense. Lots of ways to use it, but if you sre traveling and or sharing expenses with others, this is it!! The real deal!
They’re putting everything behind a paywall now. Can’t even add more than like 3 expenses per day. Such a scam. I’ve been a loyal customer for 6+ years and I’m gonna stop using this app now.
It would have been nice to enter another currency and exchange rate, so that the entire balancing could be shown in e.g. Euro and NOK
It used to be my preferred app, but now it has become expensive and filled with ads.
I’ve been using Splitwise for years with my friends and family. Since recently there is a limit of only a couple of expenses you can add without a Pro version which means you can’t use the basic functionality of the app anymore without paying monthly/yearly subscription. I am switching to something else and wouldn’t recommend Splitwise anymore (not in this state)
The tool is great for keeping track, but at the price of 5$ each month, the pro edition is too expensive for what it is. I eish I could pay to get more entries in a day, I dont need receipt scanning for instance.
Very intuitive app. There is a big list of categories embedded, plus all the possible forms of splitting expenses. Nice graphs, I totally recommend it.
We used this app for watching our budget while on a trip through South America, and in the end it we were quite disappointed. The app supports all kind of currencies, but when you convert them back to your own currency (a paid feature, by the way) it only uses the currency values of that specific day. That meant we had to go through all our expenses and change the currencies manually for every day. Such a hassle. How this feature ( I repeat, a PAID feature) doesn’t take into account currency changes per day is beyond me. I would suggest using another app like Splittr instead of Splitwise if you travel a lot, as you are able to determine currency values on the fly when entering expenses.
I was forced to use this app by a total stickler on vacation. It totally took the fun out of every meal and drink and also served as a way for certain people to exploit every situation by “sharing” meals drinks etc. Not really the app’s fault, but I deplore the appification of every aspect of life. Xx
