the developers' greed has made this application useless
Since the number of transactions was limited to a few in the free version I find this application useless
I Do Not recommend
It used to be a nice app but they limited highly the free version. Multiple alternative on the market offer better services than the limited Splitwise. I do Not recommend it to use.
Free version is getting to be unusable
App looks nice. Webapp is ok. Free version is getting to be unusable - ads, limited functionality… and it’s constantly getting worse.
Good ap but too expensive and annoying limits
The app itself is great but limits are annoying and PRO is to expensive. Not worth it.
Disappointment after long using
Basic functionalities are now not usable due to the new monetisation policy
Senseless
The app used to be really good but it’s now impossible to use it without the premium account. And seriously, who’s going to pay for an app that tracks your spendings, laughable.
Disappointed with Splitwise's latest updates.
Highly disappointed with Splitwise's new monetization strategy. Introduced a subscription model for basic functionalities, such as limiting the number of expenses for free users, is unreasonable and feels like a betrayal to its loyal base. The requirement for a recurring subscription is a deal-breaker for me. These changes have forced me to seek alternative solutions. I cannot recommend this app until they reconsider their pricing strategy.
Bad monetization
They put a primary app feature which has been free forever behind a paywall. That’s such a bad monetization guys, the app is unusable without “pro” now. Been using splitwise for years, now it’s time to go.
Useless unless you buy pro
Used to be great, I recommended it to all my friends. But now the daily limit on expenses has rendered it unacceptable for me. The price of pro version is much too high, will look for a replacement, so sorry to see all these negative reviews, all pointing at the same issue.
