Goodbye Splitwise after 12 years
I have been using Splitwise since 2012 and have recommended it to hundreds of people at my school, university and workplace. However, after 12 years of use, the app has become extremely frustrating for free users. Now, you can only add one or two transactions per day unless you upgrade to their Pro version. Additionally, there's a 10-second wait just to access the expense addition screen each time. If the intention is to push users towards a paid plan, it would be better to either eliminate the free version entirely or ensure it remains usable. Free users could tolerate some restrictions or ads, but the current limitations are excessively aggravating.

Hello, i loved using Splitwise and recommended it to all my friends. However, if you are putting a limit on the number of entries, you might as well make it all paid. Whats the. Point!!
Transaction not updated
I have using this for a month. I have been facing this issue. Whenever some of my friend made an entry I instantly get notifications but transactions in app is not updated even after days its not updated just untill i keep open app for 10 min then everything is updated. This app is not working properly in background
Pricing scheme is ridiculous
I have used this for many years. It is a very solid, yet basic application, which is by no means feature-complete. They have now heavily limited the scope of the free version and charge a whopping 5Euro per month for the pro version, which is by no means even close to justified. Good thing there are many alternative around. Bye Splitwise.
