They’ve put a standard feature behind a paywall

What used to be a brilliant app, they have now made sure that you now have a small daily limit to how many expenses you can add on before they ask you to pay. This is pure greed, making a regular part of the app now behind payment

Very restrictive on daily use

Was a great app now the developer has become greedy and restricts its use to only a few transactions a day… what a shame

Partly useful

Only useful when you want to split the amount equally between all people involved, otherwise it makes it complicated and harder to sort.

Just a not-very fancy calculator

All it seems to do is store your receipts and divide by a specific number. When you go to ‘settle up’ it doesn’t actually do anything at all - like send money to anyone and actually settle up. Rubbish.

Great but cannot link bank account

Out of 8 of us with the Splitwise app those recent joiners are barred from adding bank account details even though others without pro paid account can do this. Its very annoying as we can’t seem to be able to settle up. Great tech but falls at the last hurdle (I presume this core feature is now only available with Pro)…

Fantastically Clever and useful App. Fully recommend!

This is a brilliant app to use with groups of people on holiday or a weekend away. Excellent that you can split between named people and not everyone in the group.

Fantastic idea for groups of friends

We used splitwise on a trip to ibiza and it made it much easier to ensure the group of girls to share out any expenses for drinks tacis snd food equally. Fantastic idea.

Shouldn’t have introduced such low daily usage limits

Used this app for many years, only for them to introduce a feature where you can only add 3/4 expenses per day. App works well - but people should be aware of this because there are unlimited alternatives available.
