## SportCam Reviews in United States

### ***-- "Love/Hate"
Brunswick High Sports Network has a love/hate relationship with SportCam. On one end, this is an incredible app that provides a high quality scoreboard that is pretty easy to use. The development team clearly cares about their product, as they have added a couple of great updates in the past year. A power play indicator for hockey is really nice, and adding a QR code for people to connect to remote scoring makes it so much easier. Remote scoring is an excellent feature, but back in the day you could only share your scoreboard to another device using AirDrop, which limited capability. Now for the hate: we can’t tell if SportCam is blocked on a number of high school or college WiFis or if it just has an inability to function on some of them, meaning that we have to use cell service to stream many of the games. The app was also just completely broken for a day last year and we could not upload a video or start a new stream. They ended up fixing it the next day, but we still lament losing the replay of that one game. And while the development team clearly cares about improving the app, I notice that they haven’t responded to a single one of the negative reviews that people have left on here. Finally, the app really is only useful with the $20 per month Pro version. I think this price is reasonable, I just don’t want you thinking that this is actually a free app. Overall I recommend SportCam for anyone wanting to stream games to YouTube or Facebook, just don’t expect all sunshine and rainbows.

### ***-- "Freezes when we mute"
Not sure why, but every time we mute the recording freezes. we hear from parents ans they complain and are not happy. Please fix this. Also, add a mute button to the remote screen.
-- Aratatat, 2025-10-17

### *---- "It does not record anything"
I got the app thinking oh I could watch my games on my IPad but when I used it it did not record anything. Not recommended
-- Scam don’t try it, 2025-10-01

### *---- "Do Not Buy - No Customer Suport"
I used the trial version and had no issues. As soon as I subscribed to the application I had issues not seeing what I was shooting. The screen was black. I was using an IPhone Pro Max 16. This happened as I was getting ready to stream live for a football team. No customer service number or chat to walk through a trouble shoot ONLY email. I cancelled the subscription and bought Swish Live. No issues and they are more responsive to the customer.
-- BMGerdes, 2025-07-31

### ****- "Best Sports Streaming App!"
I love this app for easy scoreboard layouts to livestream high school sports events. The only thing I’ve asked and hope they change is the ability to stream in 4K. I use an iPhone 16 Pro and feel like the stream is hindering the cameras ability.
-- impact18, 2025-07-15

### **--- "Good app but remote scoring works less than 50%"
I use it to livestream volleyball games for parents who can’t attend. They like how the app shows the score. I like it when the remote scoring feature is working but otherwise I’m tethered to the tripod. The annual fee is way too high for it to work properly less than half the time.
-- tachula, 2025-06-18

### **--- "Doesn’t support USB-C webcam input on iPad, doesn’t rotate screen to landscape properly on launch"
I am looking for an app that support the iPad’s ability to capture video from an external USB-C webcam, but this app doesn’t appear to support this new powerful capability. It would allow me to use a profesional external camera and livestream with a scoreboard. The design of the app is also confusing, and the video preview window appears in the upper left corner where it is covered by the current date/time and also the back button to the previous app. This app needs some design attention and also support for the latest iPadOS features like USB-C webcam.
-- Tony.T, 2025-04-12

### *---- "Not what I THOUGHT"
I got this app for recording and streaming my daughters team games. First time using it today and all the games only streamed for few minutes. Not knowing that there was an issue all day long till after the tournament. All the games lost now! I am so mad that we are left with nothing! Our coach cant do the stats now and family that couldnt make it to the tournament wont be able to see how awesome this team played. I wish I never used this app today!
-- Jahudka, 2025-03-30

### *---- "Get the scorecam app instead"
I got this a few months ago. At first it’s great and easy… until….

If at any point the app loses focus and you are saving your video to your phone, it till render the video corrupt and you will lose the entire video. It’s even happening when it doesn’t lose focus. Reached out to support and they said it’s not an app problem even though Scorecam doesn’t have this issue at all.

It’s not reliable if you care about keeping the videos.

Streaming seems to work great but it’s useless if I can keep the video.
-- DrEvilB74, 2025-03-17

### *---- "Doesn’t ever connect to upload!"
Great app but always fails when in a congested convention center. The video never fully uploads to YouTube and if any notification disturbs your stream it doesn’t work. Way too many bugs to work out, don’t waste your money. It only works when connected to WiFi and as parents, we know that is NEVER at a tournament! Ugh!! Wasted $70!!!
