Free version is terrible

With the latest updates, the free version doesn't make sense. At first I just listened to a lot of advertising, but now I can’t fully listen to the tracks I like, and I can’t skip tracks from other artists. Spotify has gone horribly wrong. YouTube Music looks much more better now.
