Spriggy Invest

Fantastic idea, great for my kids to see how their first investing is going and in the mindset of investing their money. However, the app is clunky, you get confirmation emails that the money has gone in but it doesn’t display, so continuous follow ups to get it rectified. On that however, the technical support is fantastic, easy to deal with but it does get annoying having to email every time you submit money. Otherwise a great app and excellent support.

I put some money in to see how it would go. Had money invested for almost 12 months in a couple of investment options and it was in the negative the almost the whole time. Get a better return for my daughter putting the money in a bank account and getting 2% interest. Disappointing results.

Impossible to change account details, they want copies of your bank statements and such which is ridiculous and over personal and makes no sense considering how easy it is to set up and for them to begin taking money no questions asked, but the moment you want to set up a different account they need to know where you shop, eat and what you do with your life with your bank statements. Asked to cancel because I did not like their way of going about it and they won’t allow it, blamed it on me not replying because I was at work so they took more money. Which is silly, if someone asks to cancel it’s not a suggestion, it’s a request and they don’t need to give you a reason, just honour it and do it the other side shouldn’t have to jump through fire hoops to do so. They also have no number or email to contact. Just a messaging system which is a headache. Safer and easier ways to invest elsewhere with more trustworthy companies. Be very wary.
