## Spyderco Description
Spyderco is known for a history of pioneering pocket-friendly features on knives, and now there’s another brand-new innovation to add to your pocket with the Spyderco mobile app. The app puts the entire catalog of current products in the palm of your hand, allowing you to access product photos, information and tech specs from your mobile device. Going well beyond the catalog experience, the Spyderco app offers numerous exciting features and functionality including:

Wish List & My Collection

The My Collection feature allows you to easily keep track of all the Spyderco products you own in one simple list. For those grail knives you haven’t been able to get your hands on, add them to your Wish List so they never slip through your fingers.

Interactive Steel Chart

Take a deeper dive into your favorite steels with the interactive steel chart. This feature allows you to see the composition of each steel type used in Spyderco knives, and a tap on the individual elements offers additional information about the properties they bring to the steel.

Heads-Up Alerts

When you everyday carry (EDC) a pocketknife, it’s easy to forget it can’t go everywhere with you. The Heads-Up Alerts feature will help make sure you never lose a knife again by providing a notification when you’re approaching an area that may have knife restrictions. Currently users can expect notifications for approximately 200 of the busiest airports in the United States.

Notification Center

Get all of the latest Spyderco news as soon as it happens with the app’s Notification Center. Whether it’s an announcement about an upcoming show, the release of a New Product Reveal or an exclusive interview, real-time notifications ensure app users will be among the very first to know.

Trademark Round Hole™ Menu

Spyderco users are used to being able to open their knives one handed, and the app is no exception. The Trademark Round Hole at the bottom of the screen can be tapped or swiped upward to reveal the full menu of features. This can even be configured for left-handed or right-handed users in the app’s settings.

## Spyderco Reviews in United States

### *---- "Not good for new release's of exclusives"
I got this app to be able to see when exclusives get released but only shows them sometimes and then the same ones show for months. Not helpful at all.
-- MysterE01, 2024-08-04

### *---- "Automatic?"
Got the app in hopes of being able to search for automatic knives. Don’t waste your time. It’s censored.
-- Smoking.Diesel, 2024-04-14

### **--- "Extremely disappointing"
This app is extremely disappointing. It looks like it was thrown together. There’s red arrows on top of white text, no sense of context, no obvious menu button, no search autocompletion (don’t you know the names of your own products?)

The app also has an identity crisis. Why does this exist? Why is this worse than your own website?

Searching for products is confusing and annoying. Why do I have to know the internal model number of your knives? Why do I have to look up my blade hq order to find the exact model number that I purchased so that I can add the correct one to my collection?

Seriously, have you ever tried using your own app? It’s garbage. Either start over from scratch or just give up.
-- please-enter-a-nickname, 2023-06-24

### *---- "Ridiculous app"
Shows several knives and nothing worth investigating. They show the knives they wanna display.
-- Climax510, 2023-01-12

### *---- "Years old ads."
Why do companies release crap like this and never update the information. Entirely useless
-- Arazonan, 2023-01-01

### *---- "App needs major repair"
Great idea, but the app is horribly flawed. Strangely many many models are missing or can’t be searched for directly but you might find them by browsing. Nice idea to allow you to make a virtual collection of knives you own but basic models and colors are not findable. Strange that they wouldn’t fix this? The only thing worse or more difficult to use from Spyderco is their website. Really, really bad. The app is a step up in functionality over the website. I hope they fix this app as it has some really clever and nice user interface moments, and specs of knives your considering for purchase are quickly researchable (if the search reveals it)
-- Seanbhappy, 2022-06-27

### *---- "Trash"
The app notifications need work, missed my second release of the year because of being notified two days after its release.
-- jweddle2, 2022-01-16

### ***-- "Wish it worked right all the time"
Not sure what’s going on with the app and since there’s no option in the app to actually submit bugs. Top of the page on the Home Screen is showing an exclusive but the moment you actually click on it brings you to a page about an event that ended 4 months ago
-- ShadowOfTheInferno, 2021-10-11

### ***** "Best Knives"
Spyderco knives are the best knives I have ever owned. Best steel. I have had my delica 4 by my side for almost a decade!
-- Gavonia, 2021-09-07

### ***** "Great Reference Tool"
Wow, how did I not see this app prior to this week? What a great app! I love all the details that are included. It is a great reference. The interface is slick, and I like all the info in the Edge U Cation section. Very impressive. Oh, and great knives by the way. I love each of my Spyderco knives. The knives that I have from a certain other company just don’t seem to have the same quality standards. Thank you for making great products and standing behind them. Cheers.
